You can read all about my comments in the post because there are positive sides to this as well, but in the end I decided that it was not a good idea at all to let this happen. Today I used who.is a whois tool to track down the registrar of the site, after which I used the whois tool of the registrar to get some more info. I found a name, address and email, so I sent the person an email. I asked him nicely to remove my site from his blog, although I was lenient, and I told him that existing content can stay, I don’t really want to go higher up the ladder than this, but I will if I must. So in the end I decided that this must stop. The loss of reputation is a far greater problem than the few hits I get and the few backlinks. Also, I don’t really get acknowledged, since the names are always auto-generated. _________
