Mold problem with child in home from bathroom

We are renting the residence and we noticed a mold problem on a wall the other side of the bathroom. It started out small but when the shower was ripped out and repaired, the mold started growing and covered the whole wall. We reported this problem to the landlord for five months and nothing was done until we sent them a letter stating that my son was getting ill and we were withholding rent. They sent someone out to look at the problem and left us in the home while the mold was exposed for two months. The problem was not rectified but just patched over. Now they are trying to evict us? mold recurring in bathroom with pics
