Marisa Miller Does Montreal
2008-06-10 15:40:00
Marisa Miller hosted a party with Puff Daddy in Montreal this past weekend and I didn’t go because I wasn’t invited, tickets were $250 dollars and if you wanted a place to sit down, it was $5000 because Puff Daddy isn’t rich enough and feels that he should charge outrageous prices so the everyday 9 to 5 millionaire can pretend they partied with him, giving them stories to tell their friends and family about how they spent 1000 dollars to be under the same roof as the motherfucker while listening to the same tunes as the motherfucker as club slut girls shook their asses for them in hopes of getting free drinks.

Pamela Anderson Is From Canada

No, today is not some sort of Canada Day at TastyBooze. Montreal Grand Prix: A race full of surprises.
2008-06-08 22:52:00
Historically, the Canadian Grand Prix is the theatre of exceptional performances and has a lot of surprises in store. Today's edition was no different. The 30th Canadian Grand Prix was the occasion for the BMW-Sauber to shine. Not only Robert Kubica finished in first place for the first time in his career but Nick Heidfeld who was starting from the eight spot finished in second place. A pleasant and unexpected one-two finish for the team who finishes in first place for a first time also. The main incident of the race came at the 19th lap when the Force India of Adrian Sutil stalled and was forced to retire. The safety car was sent out on the track and the leaders decided to pit in. Lewis Hamilton who was starting from the pole position came out of the pits after his service behind Robert Kubica and Kimi Raikkonen. Hamilton committed a fatal mistake when he came out of the pitlane. He did not see the red light and the stalled Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen and rammed him. Both drivers had ...

2008 Canadian F1 GP - Race in jeopardy ?
2008-06-08 04:45:00
The problems with asphalt surface of the Montreal track are threatening Sunday Canadian Grand Prix. Several drivers had difficulties to keep the cars on track today and almost in unison they all blamed it on the track breaking apart. Mark Webber, Kimi Raikkonen, Felipe Massa, Robert Kubica, Nick Heidfeld, David Coulthard, Jarno Trulli, Sebastien Bourdais ...

Montreal Grand Prix: Hamilton on pole.
2008-06-08 01:09:00
Today at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit of Ile Notre-Dame, the qualifying session of the Canadian Grand Prix was presented. The vast majority of the pilots were deceived by the track conditions as the asphalt was peeling off the track at three different locations. Lewis Hamilton did manage to work with the poor track conditions to qualify his McLaren-Mercedes on pole position. Hamilton has registered his first F1 victory in career on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit last season and will try to repeat this year.As for the rest of the field, Robert Kubica placed his BMW-Sauber on the first row. Kubica is remembered in Montreal for his spectacular crash last year. Fernando Alonso did very well in his Renault and will start fourth. As for the Ferrari pilots, Kimi Raikkonen placed third while Felipe Massa will start from the sixth position.Mark Webber crashed during the last portion of the second run and was not able to run during the final stage of the qualifying session. Here is the top ten ...

Kinetic Montreal

Hey y'all.I just came back from the Phase 2 of Kinetik Montreal, which is a electronics music festival. The Phase 2 was the industrial part of the celebrations. I have to say, even though I was a bit tired, I adored it! I got to see a bunch of new bands play, meet new people & just have a good time.I lent my camera to a friend to take more pictures tonight (it's Phase 3 - Noise... which I am deffo not going). I will post our pictures asap, and trust me, there's a lot!For now, I want to post the two bands I enjoyed the most. My top pick for the night was Funker Vogt. I believe it's the band the crowd appreciated the most as well. They had the most energy on stage and they were the one who drew the biggest amount of people inside the concert room at the same time. My second band is Memmaker. I liked them especially for the music they played. It was all high beat stuf you can dance too. Ok, I didn't dance, I just chilled in my corner, but still, they're music was go...

Tony Chimel came to the ring and announced that Triple H will defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton in the main event. The fans got to choose the stipulation via cell phone. They could choose between a Cage Match, a 2 out a 3 falls or a No DQ. The fans chose a steel cage match.Triple H beat Randy Orton with the Pedigree in 20 minutes. Great match! Slow pace for the first 5 minutes, but the last 15 minutes made it great. Not a MOTYC but nice way to end an average show. It sent the people home happy, and if they repeat or maybe top tonight's performance, we will have a good Judgment Day main event. Montreal fans getting bad rap for idiocy of few
2008-04-23 15:37:00
So a few drunken idiots decide to stagger out of Chez Paree, or wherever they were pounding back more than their share of pints Monday night, go on an alcohol-induced vandalism spree and all of a sudden all Montreal supporters are idiots. Wow, you'd think we'd never seen over-zealous, liquored-up celebrations before. As my colleague Rick Couchman pointed out in his own space yesterday, most of the idiots using police cars as firewood after the elimination of the Boston Bruins weren't your prototypical Montreal Canadiens fans rather than drunken jackasses who were just looking for something to do burn. Hardly grounds for labeling an entire city, or at the very least a fanbase, as a bunch of thugs. Then you get a writer from Alberta denouncing the faithful of the bleu, blanc and rouge, throwing them off the moral platform while singing the praises of Calgary's infamous Red Mile.Go figure, the guy isn't even from Calgary.Having someone from Calgary Red Deer give victory celebr...
Shameful victory celebrations in Montreal.
2008-04-23 02:24:00
Yesterday, once the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins was over, the victorious hockey fans gathered in downtown Montreal and started cheering and chanting, in decency.During the initial hour of celebration, everybody remained calm and no major incident was reported. The subway lines were filled of happy and cheering fans who were heading home, satisfied of still being in the Stanley Cup hunt. But as the night went on, the celebrations were troubled by a group of people who started going over the edge. Among those people, some has taken advantage of a lack of organization inside the police ranks to go over the top. A couple of stores were vandalized.Another group of rioters had another ultimate goal in mind: the police vehicles themselves. They were just standing around the cars, stomping and bashing them with all kinds of stuff then flaming them at will. The police and special forces did eventually manage to recover and restore peace and stop the extent of the...

Riots in Montreal give hockey fans bad name
2008-04-22 15:51:00
Police cars set ablaze, store windows smashed, and assaults on police.Hardly a way to celebrate a series win, now is it?Last night in Montreal, 16 police vehicles were badly damaged, 6 of them torched by hoodlums with no other intent than to cause problems right from the start. It all came on the heels of a pivotal game seven victory by the Habs over the Bruins. And let it be known right here, right now - most of the troublemakers were not Montreal Canadiens fans. And that's usually the case whenever you read a story on rioting after a sports event, in any city. Most of these punks wouldn't know a hockey puck from horse dung, unless they were hurling it at a police car. We're talking about derelicts of society, people congregating just to cause havoc amidst a crowd of people. They're nothing more than thugs who find joy in violence. And they care not that it's giving good Montreal hockey fans a black eye.By most accounts, Habs fans peacefully spilled out of the Molson Centre celeb...

Montreal Canadiens: The pedal to the metal.
2008-04-22 10:43:00
The Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins disputed game seven of their first round series yesterday at the Bell centre in Montreal. The Canadiens played a solid game and this time they have kept the pedal to the metal as the game went on. As for the young rookie goaltender Carey Price, he has been absolutely perfect all game long.Mike Komisarek opened the score for Montreal during the first period when his shot from the blue line was deflected by a Boston player and past goaltender Tim Thomas.Halfway into the second period, Mark Streit doubled Montreal's lead on a great play as he went past Boston's defense and slipped the puck thru the goaltender. Andrei Kostitsyn increased Montreal's lead to 3-0 before the end of the seocnd frame.Andrei Kostitsyn scored his second goal of the game during the third period and his brother Sergei completed the score with only a few seconds left to the game.Final score: Montreal Canadiens 5 - Boston Bruins 0 (Montreal wins the series by 4-3)(Pic...

Montreal-Boston series: A seventh game is needed.
2008-04-20 08:29:00
Yesterday, game six of the first round series between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins was nothing less than an emotional roller coaster ride for the fans gathered at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston. The Boston Bruins deserve all the credit in this game. They have worked very hard and rallied from a one-goal deficit three times during the lenght of the game. After a goal from Chris Higgins during the first period, Phil Kessel tied the game at 1-1 early into the second period. Then Tomas Plekanec getting out of the penalty box received a pass from Steve Begin and went all alone with goaltender Tim Thomas. Plekanec netted his first goal of the series and gave a 2-1 Montreal lead after two periods.A great main course was served to the fans during the third period. A total of six goals were scored during this exciting last frame. Vladimir Sobotka tied the game at 2-2 early into the third on a very discutable play. The Bruins looked to be offside at the Montreal blue line but...

A cold shower hits Montreal.
2008-04-18 03:32:00
The Montreal Canadiens were looking to put away the Boston Bruins at the Bell centre tonight. Up three games to one in this first round series, the Canadiens dropped their intensity level thinking the Bruins have given up.The game started well for Montreal when Alex Kovalev scored the first goal of the game during the first period. The crowd was loud in the Bell centre and everybody in the building could almost taste the victory. But the Bruins never gave up. First, Phil Kessel tied the game up on a power play during the second period. Kessel, a healthy scratch for games two, three and four of the series really turned the game around. The third period was entirely in favor of Boston who scored four unanswered goals on goaltender Carey Price. Glen Metropolit, Zdeno Chara, Marco Sturm and Vladimir Svobotka scored a goal each to extend the series to a sixth game.Final score: Boston Bruins 5 - Montreal Canadiens 1 (Montreal leads the series by 3-2)The Bruins with this important victory a...
