But before your head explodes, I just want to say that this is not a joke but the next edition of Mortal Kombat.Game designers have stated that finishing moves will be less bloody in an attempt to earn the game a TEEN (15+ in the UK) rating. Gore or no gore chances are this game will live long in the minds of gamers. Either for being a great combination of two genres of game, or for being a disappointing underachievement. However, no matter how it turns out, one thing is guaranteed; it's going to be Krazy.

2008-04-20 17:50:00 In what has to be the weirdest crossover I have ever seen, Midway has announced Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, the eighth entry in the fighting series, which will see characters from either franchise duke it out against each other. In development at Midway Amusement Games, the game is powered by Unreal Engine 3 and is slated to hit PS3 and Xbox 360 this Fall. Four characters have been confirmed so far: Superman and Batman from DC Comics, and Mortal Kombat veterans Sub-Zero and Scorpion. The game, if comments made by a Midway representative are true, will not feature the series' trademark ultra-violent Fatalities. This may be due to the inclusion of DC Comics characters. However, players will still be able to pull off some form of a finishing move. The storyline is said to be a collaboration between the Mortal Kombat team and DC Comics writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray. I don't really want to admit how much of 6th grade was wasted playing the SNES version of MK II.TRMK.org is reporting that a port of Mortal Kombat is being developed by Midway for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Apparently Ed Boon (Mortal Kombat co-creator) posted coded message on his site, spelling out TOUCH. TRMK says that a source revealed to them that a Touch version IS in the works and was also able to provide a very, very convincing video demo.The demo shows what looks to be motion controlled movements for the characters and the animations and actions looked pretty realistic to simply be pre-recorded (though I'm not ruling that out). 2008-03-06 01:45:00 Ever wonder why Midway excluded the very popular character of Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat 3, the last game in the series to feature digitized graphics of real-life people? That’s because Daniel Pesina, the martial artist who portrayed Cage in the first two games, appeared in a magazine ad in 1994 for the incredibly crappy fighting game BloodStorm developed by Incredible Technologies. Not only that, but Daniel was wearing a costume very similar to Johhny Cage’s from MKII, with shades and everything. His employers at Midway were so pissed they fired him. That must have hurt worst than a split punch to the groin. BloodStorm was supposed to be a Mortal Kombat-killer, but it did so poorly it killed itself and made Incredible Technologies go out of business. Fatality! Enjoy :)StoryWell, seeing as this is a Mortal Kombat game, and a remake of MK3, there really isn't a story present. But, it can be assumed that you are a warrior that has to battle a bunch of other warriors to win the title of supreme warrior. Or something along those lines. A much cliched, yet solid story line. Score: 3/5GameplayIf you loved the arcade, or even older console version of Mortal Kombat, then you will love this. It is a total remake of MK3, with a few added features. The DS dual screens are implemented very well in the game. The bottom screen shows the fighting action, while the top screen shows which combos you and your opponent have at your disposal. This is a great tool, as I always hated having to memorize combos for other fighting games, but in this case all you have to do is look up and it's there. Also, there is a puzzle game included. Lamar Roberts, 17, and Heather Trujillo, 16, were charged as adults on one count each of felony child abuse causing death, state prosecutor Robert Miller said in court documents released Wednesday and filed a day earlier. According to a police affidavit, the teens were baby-sitting Trujillo's half-sister, Zoe Garcia, on Dec. 6 while the girl's mother was at work. Zoe lost consciousness and stopped breathing after the teens hit, kicked and body-slammed her, imitating moves used in the video game, the document said.
