Nur Wahid asks Moslems not to be provoked by inter-faith conflict

"The guilty must be punished. Those who are not involved should not be intimidated," he said on the sidelines of the party`s 10th anniversary commemoration here on Sunday. Hidayat further said he personally disagreed to the use of violence as in the North Maluku gubernatorial election, the issue on fuel oil price hikes which resulted in violence and even in the celebration of Pancasila (state ideology)`s anniversary which also ended with in violence. "Now there are sweepings at offices and houses by some elements of certain organizations, the action is against the law. Hence the state should uphold the law to guarantee security for the people by the state," said Nur Wahid who is also Chairman of the People`s Consultative Assembly (MPR). However, we do have new video site that was created specifically for Moslems anywhere in the world. The site is called Muxlim Dot TV (Muxlim.TV), brought to you by Muxlim Inc, an enterprising media consumer company currently based in Espoo Finland. Ehh? Finland? Interesting?They are still in their beta testing stages but that does not mean that you cannot start using them today. Their features and functions are quite similar with YouTube but I have to admit they still have a long way to go if they ever want to be as successful as YouTube. For the time being, there are not that many uploaded videos for you to see but do remember that they are new in the online world. A social networking site specifically for Moslems!
2008-01-11 21:00:00 In case you Malaysian Malay ladies (wanita Melayu) out there didn’t know, there is a social networking site specifically for Moslems in the internet. I just visited one today and found that most of their online members are those from Middle Eastern countries but we do have some Malaysian Malay women there too. It is appropriately called MuslimSpace and by the look of things, their online functions and features are quite similar with MySpace. As of time of writing, the total number of known registered Malaysians on this social networking site is 5,250. Not bad!Even though this site is not as hip and happening as other major social networking sites such as MySpace and Friendster but I do have to say that I am more comfortable in MuslimSpace. Case in point, Imam Zulqarnain Sakandar Madni when asked about Usama bin Laden replied "I think this is something that?s been made up." Bin Laden may be dead, or maybe not.
