Although the opposition MDC candidate Morgan Tsvangirai won the first round of Presidential elections outright in late March, (and more likely than not with 50% plus one, which would have obviated the need for a run-off), that run-off is scheduled to be held on June 27th. The entire thing ...

I Don't Support Mugabe Anymore
2008-06-06 07:44:00
Forget it. This guy has just gone way too far for me. On the other hand, I absolutely hate the opposition, the country-selling traitors who are controlled by imperialism, specifically US and British imperialism, and I have nothing but contempt and hatred for the campaign that World Imperialism is waging on this poor nation. It's beggared the country, destroyed the economy and driven the population to try to throw Mugabe out. In other words, it's the exact same thing that the US imperialist garbage did to Nicaragua under Ortega. But the Sandinistas never resorted to the terrible behavior that Mugabe has. There is a tendency on the Far Left to support anyone who is opposing imperialism, and make no mistake about it, Mugabe is an anti-imperialist. His instincts are correct, he is trying to help his people by steering his economy in a more socialist direction, and he is right to seize the land of the criminal White farmers, whose ancestors stole it in the first place.5,000 White farmers...

"Le Royaume-Uni a mobilisé ses amis et alliés en Europe, en Amérique du Nord, en Australie et en Nouvelle-Zélande pour imposer des sanctions économiques illégales contre le Zimbabwe", a dit Mugabe lors du sommet de la FAO (organisation des Nations unies pour l'alimentation et l'agriculture). "Tout cela vise à affaiblir l'économie du Zimbabwe et à, ensuite, opérer un changement illégal de régime dans le pays", a-t- il ajouté.
Mugabe looks foward to a Conservative Government.
2008-06-04 12:41:00
Jason Brown, Founder of The Political Wire has posted an interesting article on Robert Mugabe's sudden found love for the British Conservatives:After months of bad news for the Prime Minister, there is finally some good news for Gordon Brown, Robert Mugabe?s stooges have come out in support of the Conservatives party. Sam Akaki, a journalist for the government?s mouthpiece, the Harare Herald, claims that the British government has engineered Zimbabwe?s descent into chaos:For Mr Akati, the solution to all this unfair and nasty bullying of the Mugabe regime is the return of a Conservative government.Only with the Conservative Party in power in the UK can that country hope to salvage its rapidly deteriorating relationship with Zimbabwe and Africa.Isn?t it now plainly clear that the British relationship with Zimbabwe in particular and Africa in general will not improve until the Conservative Party takes over in the United Kingdom?Quite what he hopes David Cameron will do isn?t clear. P...

President Mugabe At World Food Conference
2008-06-03 09:03:00
The presence of President Robert Mugabe at a UN world food conference is akin to inviting Osama bin Laden to discuss ways of creating friendship with Israel. Mugabe has transformed a nation which had an exceptionally well developed agricultural economy into one in which four million people currently need food assistance, 3.5 million have fled the country in search of food and shelter, and an inflation rate which is at 165,00%. Mugabe will bring his talents to assist the world in dealing with soaring food prices and their impact on poor people. When it comes to dealing with issues of poverty, Mr. Mugabe is an expert on how to create the situation of poverty. International Development Secretary Dopuglas Alexander said “I think it is obscene and I’m outraged by his presence. We don’t see Robert Mugabe as graining any legitimacy or credibility from attending this meeting when four milliion of his own people are now relying on food aid as a direct consequence of his pr...

News: Zimbabwe's Mugabe not letting go without a fight?
2008-04-22 02:16:00
Zimbabwe's president Mugaba, demanded a recount of the recent voting, in the hope the apparent victory of the opposition could be overturned."Just in case", three days after the Zimbabwean elections, the paperwork for a shipment of Chinese weapons aboard the vessel "An Yue Jiang", was finalised in Beijing. The ship docked in Durban, South Africa a few days ago.The RSA High Court ruled the cargo could be offloaded in the Durban port, but it could not pass over South Africa roads to get to Zimbabwe. Durban's dockworkers however said they would not handle the cargo, fearing the arms would be used by the Zimbabwean government against its own people. In the mean time, the An Yue Jiang left Durban, and is now enroute to Luanda, Angola. (Full)Due to these logistical problems, and to avoid more press visibility, a second shipment of Chinese weaponry destined for Zimbabwe will be transported by plane from China to Harare within the next week. Wherever peoples are oppressed these days, two constants appear. Why do the Chinese seem so insistent on subsidizing oppression? It?s not just oil. That could ...

I Still Support Mugabe
2008-04-19 14:36:00
The latest death toll figures from Hurricane Katrina can be seen on this website here. The famous Russian neo-Nazi video is on this blog here. Updated April 23:Just to be a complete jerk and make people even angrier, I am going to keep on supporting Mugabe in Zimbabwe. The opposition is controlled by imperialism, chiefly US and UK imperialism. Therefore, Mugabe is objectively an anti-imperialist. Imperialism cares not one whit about democracy in Zimbabwe or Mugabe the tyrant; all it cares about is that Mugabe has turned his back on imperialism's neoliberal consensus. It is useful to note that Mugabe began to seize farms and tell the IMF to get lost due to a popular uprising in the land over imperialism's thwarting of the great land reform project and over the people's rage at the disaster that neoliberalism had done to the land. A neoliberalism that the imperialist-controlled opposition has vowed to put right back in, along with the land reform that they have pledged to halt or ev...

Mugabe Accuses Winning Opponent of Treason
2008-04-17 15:57:00
Bloomberg.com Zimbabwe's main opposition denied allegations in state media that it conspired with the U.K. government to end President Robert Mugabe's rule. The state-controlled Herald newspaper today cited Justice Minister Patrick Chinamasa as saying that Morgan Tsvangirai, leader of the Movement for Democratic Change, colluded with U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown to effect ``illegal regime change in Zimbabwe.'' The actions are ``treasonous,'' the newspaper, often used by the government to make official pronouncements, said. ``The reports in today's Herald are absolute rubbish,'' George Sibotshiwe, Tsvangirai's spokesman, said in an interview today from Johannesburg. ``No one familiar with Zimbabwe should be surprised by these tactics of defamation and lies. They are typical of Mugabe's regime and its mouthpiece newspapers.'' Tsvangirai competed in presidential elections on March 29 in which he sought to end Mugabe's 28-year rule of the southern African nation. Re...
