(Circle Y, Hereford, etc.) Bill will sell for 700 or 1000 with the tack shown in the picture. No buck, bite, rear, kick, or anything dumb. Needs some more work picking his feet up, but coming along. Clarification of the Chevy Volt mule spy shots
2008-04-17 20:43:00 Apparently the the spy-shots of a Chevy Volt mule that turned up on-line late last night were not necessarily what they appeared to be. According to GM the photo's in question actually showed a ride and drive mule that is just testing suspension hardware. The gray car we saw earlier doesn't have any of the E-flex powertrain hardware installed. The giveaway would be the absence of a mis-shapen hood on that particular car. The red Malibu you see pictured here is actually one of the powertrain mules that has been circulating the roadways of the Milford proving ground for the last five months. Under that big lump on the drivers side of the hood lies the power electronics module. This vehicle actually has the electric drive motor, the engine/generator combination, power electronic module and a small nickel metal hydride battery pack. General Motors will be testing several of these Malibu-based vehicles throughout the summer months. Eventually — possibly as late as next year — GM will begin testing prototypes with the Volt's actual finished body. For now, the prototypes are strictly a mechanical testbed. While its no mystery that MINI is expanding its lineup, the model this mule represents is. Whatever the mule is, it's sporting a MINI front clip, taillights and overall MINI proportions. According to our sources, the mule could be for the MINI Moke — basically an off-road version on the upcoming Crossman SUV. Rumor has it that the Moke model could also be spun into a pickup truck body style. Two other possibilities for the mule include a retractable hardtop convertible, or another convertible model — dubbed the speedster — that would be a bit more stripped-down take on the sporting roadster. What ever the mule turns out to be, it's just more proof that BMW will continue to expand its MINI brand in the coming years.

The mule is clearly in its early developmental stages, but the front fascia features a sleeker and more flowing design than the one found on the Ford Flex. It was believed that Mercury — not Lincoln — would receive a version of the Flex, but it was revealed yesterday that Ford's luxury division will be the recipient of a Flex-based model. Lexus LF-A mule unseats Porsche GT2 as King of the 'Ring
2008-01-01 13:17:00 A Lexus LF-A mule has unofficially recorded a lap time on the Nordschleife of 7 minutes, 24 seconds. This is not in dispute. What is in dispute is how many seconds faster the LF-A's lap time is than that of the 2008 Porsche 911 GT2, the previous "King of the 'Ring" record holder. Wikipedia notes that the fastest 911 GT2 driven around the Ring posted a lap time of 7 minutes, 32 seconds and was driven by Walter R?hrl, Porsche's company test driver and accomplished WRC driver and road racing pilot. Porsche was so proud of the feat that it produced a snazzy video of the run that you can watch here. AutoExpress, however, which reported on the LF-A's remarkable lap time, claims that the fastest 911 GT2 lap time on the Nurburgring is 7 minutes, 25 seconds, but we could find no evidence on the web of a stock 911 GT2 ever posting a time that fast.
