But you can beat a mule over and over and it still won't budge."In fact, I may care more about your business than you do. I'm letting that go.Every little bit we accomplish, makes a BIG difference.My goal is to empower you to move you in the direction of your dreams....and if those dreams are not formed, my goal is to move you in the direction of considering and discovering what they may be.I made the mistake of letting others non-motivation affect my motivation.Thanks for that too, Dianna, my coach! High gas prices drive farmer to switch to mules

2008-05-21 23:35:00 AP - High gas prices have driven a Warren County farmer and his sons to hitch a tractor rake to a pair of mules to gather hay from their fields. T.R. Raymond bought Dolly and Molly at the Dixon mule sale last year. Son Danny Raymond trained them and also modified the tractor rake so the mules could pull it.
Volt mules are meeting EV-only target range
2008-05-14 23:44:00 Bob Lutz, GM Vice Chairman and Volt booster, told Edmunds AutoObserver today that the Volt is achieving its 40 mile all-electric target in initial on-road testing. "It is reliably meeting its objectives," Lutz confirmed. "Even with a rough calibration, even with the wrong drive unit, the wrong body, etc. etc., it has been hitting its 40 miles on electric power."There was no word on which of the two battery suppliers' products was installed in these first drives on GM's proving grounds in Michigan. He did say the Volt's Battery Management System was successfully keeping temperature rises to a minimum and maintaining even heat distribution across the cells. Lutz ever more enthusiastically says the Volt will debut for sale in Chevy showrooms in November 2010. Spy Shots: First Chevy Volt mules caught testing

Check here for our latest round of updates and you'll see that the Volt is moving along quite nicely. Still, there's a long way to go before the vehicle is ready for the road. The test track though, as you can see in the photo above, is another story entirely. According to Brenda Priddy's spy photographers, the Volt's E-Flex underpinnings are currently being tested cloaked under last-generation Malibu bodywork. We knew they'd be coming and are glad to see some visual proof. The production Volt will be based on GM's Delta platform, not the Malibu's architecture. The mules you see in these shots should contain an electric motor, an engine/generator set and some of the first battery packs from CPI and Continental. Lutz says Chevy Volt mules won?t be ready for media rides until July
2008-03-14 20:48:00 It seems every time GM Vice-Chairman Bob Lutz opens his mouth to speak, a news story is spawned. Sometimes however, there is less to the story than there appears to be. Case in point is the latest update on the Chevy Volt. Speaking in California, Lutz indicated that Volt mules (very early prototypes) would not be road tested until July. The thing everyone needs to realize is that vehicle development timing, especially on an all-new vehicle of this type tends to be very fluid. Schedules always have time built in for contingencies when the inevitable issues or delays crop up. Carmakers - and especially people like Lutz - are not used to be being so open about development programs and observers from outside are not used to watching what happens. When developing a new car, automakers build vehicles for testing components called prototypes. These prototypes come in a variety of levels of completeness. Creating new components for testing takes different amounts of time depending on the component; body structures are among the longest to get a first cut that's usable. Mechanical components are typically among the first to be available. For that reason as soon as many of those component systems are ready, car-makers will start sticking them into existing vehicles for testing. These earliest prototypes are referred to as mules and are typically, to varying degrees, recognizable as mutated versions of existing vehicles. 2007-09-21 03:07:00 Our friend Ray from Jalopnik happened to be in Southern California the other day when he got sit in with a bunch of bloggers having a chat with "Maximum" Bob Lutz. The ever quotable Mr. Lutz expounded on a variety of topics including the ongoing development of a car that debuted as a concept earlier this year. In the earliest stages of product development before parts are available to build full prototypes, they test various components like powertrains and suspensions on heavily modified existing cars that they call mules. There are apparently already some mules running with engine-generator and electric motor destined for the Volt. Lutz has now revealed the first mules that will include battery packs will be based on current generation Malibu body shells. Although the Malibu is larger than the the Volt is destined to be, it will be easier to package the hardware into one of these than the smaller Cobalt. If all goes according to plan (when was the last time that actually happened?)...
