All thanks to the Mumbai Police that is all set to make police complaints lodging process a breeze in the city. The department will launch the service on the official website of the state of Maharashtra. People can file complaints by logging onto the site. Whenever a complaint is filed, the service sends the complainant an acknowledgment in the form of an SMS and an e-complaint number. However, there is a flipside to it. The e-complaint cannot do away with an FIR. That means a complainant would be required to file an FIR for the case. At the end of day 14 Mumbai had overtaken Delhi with the bids reaching a total of Rs 1,252 crore for Mumbai vis a vis Rs 1,209 crore for Delhi. This is almost 4 times the original base price of both these cities which is pegged at 320 crore. As stated earlier the bids are surely going to make the Government a cool sum of Rs 33,528 crore but thats again assumming all the available 3G slots across all circles are lapped up by operators. Many of the slots are yet to be taken. The word is out that after 82 rounds of auctioning it will still be a week more till the final auctions are complete which could mean that the prices could be higher than what they are right now. The bidding reached Rs 7,900 crore at the end of bidding on Saturday which is more than double the initial base price of Rs 3,500 crore which was set at the start of the bidding on 9th of April. The bidding amounts have scaled over 76 rounds of bidding which have taken over 13 days to be complete. We blogged about the highest increase in the bidding which took place on the 7th day. The delhi circle had emerged as a favorite among bidders then. Even on saturday Delhi was slightly ahead with 1083 crore in bidding vs mumbai’s 1079 crore. MSN India will also produce content for the Mumbai Indians website, develop and implement strategies to monetize the content on the website – the revenue from which will be shared between MSN India and the Mumbai Indians Team owners. For the last two IPL seasons, the team owners have managed the official website – MumbaiIndians.com on their own. What started as an amateur blog in the middle of 2006 by an ignorant (and some what arrogant) 21 year old (yes thats me!) is now a growing company that owns and runs not 1 but 2 offices in Mumbai. As you might have noticed from the Job openings we posted recently we have been on an expansion mode starting year 2010. To set the platform for our expansion plans it was important to have space that allows us to grow and hence we have opened another office in Mumbai (On 29th Jan) which shall help us scale to a total size of 30 people (Currently we are about 12-13 for WATConsult and events excluding the bloggers who blog for WATBlog. Till now various benches of Tribunal have given verdict in favour of assessee and allowed depreciation claim on cost of memebrship of stock exchange.
