2005-10-27 21:29:00 # MUSIX, A LINUX BOOTABLE CD FOR MUSICIANS... These days I've been testing a new linux live cd, Musix 0.26 exactly. For the linux users I've got nothing to tell you about live cds, I suppose you already know them... for non linux users, a live cd is a bootable disc with a portable O.S., it runs directly from the cd, so you haven't to install nothing ( you can also install it, but it is not neccesary ). To run the live, you must configure your BIOS to run the sistem from the cd-rom, it is usually at the boot options. Once you have run the live cd, inside you will find sinthesizers, drum editors, samplers, sequencers, and audio editors, with a few banks for them ( it's really funny.. ). And it's free.. :), you have not to pay nothing..You can find a copy of Musix visitin the web of the proyect www.musix.org.ar, there you will find more information about it, if you are thinking on create your music or if you are looking for a different way to do it,...
