DIY Yellow Nails
2009-04-29 13:04:00 This morning i felt like doing something with my Sally Hansen clear nail polish that i just haven't been using. I have a different much better clear polish so i decided to experiment on this one.I looked at my pro palette for inspiration and i decided seeing as i hardly ever use the yellow eyeshadow i was going to put some of that with my polish.What i did:Made a cone shaped funnel with a piece of paper and cello taped the edgestook a knife (a very small plastic spoon would work better but i dont have any!) and then took of bits of my yellow pro palette eyeshadowPlaced the cone inside the nail polish topTook my knife scrapings (for a lack of a better word) and emptied it inside the cone so it falls into the polish.Close the polish and shake shake shakePaint nails :)In my opinion it turned out pretty good. It has a little bit of a sparkle and its like a yellow gold colour.xx

2009-03-23 11:54:00 I painted my nails with the Eyeko Vamp nail polish yesterday and this morning i thought i would experiment a little. I wanted to make it like a shimmer blue so i took some teal pigment and clear nail polish and painted over the Vamp.I really thought it was just going to be like a light glitter blue over the dark navy but to my surprise the pigment totally dissolved or melted or whatever into the funniest looking shiny green color!It reminds my of flies (they have like this funny green on their bodies somewhere)I cant say i really like this color but it is quite interesting!Now i know that mixing pigments and nail polish might not be the best idea! :P
