The 5th season of Nashville Star began tonight with ten uber-talented country music singers. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Idol... but there is more natural singing and performing talent in the ten Nashville Star singers than most of the American Idol wannabees combined. Two of my early favorites based on the first show... Angela Hacker - a Mom chasing her life-long dream after working hard to support her young boy. She has a great voice and reminds me of Bonnie Raitt but with a softer and more intense emotion. David St. Romain - a fellow Louisanian!
