John McCain on Energy Security and Our National Security VIDEO
2008-06-24 21:01:00 ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain delivered the following remarks as prepared for delivery at a town hall meeting in Fresno, CA, June 23 at 10:00 a.m. PDT (1:00 p.m. EDT):Thank you all very much. I appreciate the kind introduction from Jim Woolsey, and the warm welcome to Fresno State. I'm here to listen about energy issues as well as to talk. So let me just offer a few ideas before we begin our discussion. All across this state and nation, people are hurting because the price of gasoline is higher than it should be, and more than many folks can afford. Because of far-off events in the world oil market, a barrel of oil has more than doubled in a year. And the bad effects of that are spreading across our economy. The cost of business is rising, the cost of food and other essentials is rising, the whole cost of living is rising. What isn't rising is the value of your paychecks and the rate of America's economic growth. Back in the 1970's, they used to call this "stagflati...

Americans Want To Talk, Even With Enemies
2008-06-03 03:01:00 I certainly would not use polls as evidence of the validity of a complex issue, but there was a certain satisfaction in reading this one. 2008-06-02 19:53:00 Congress returns from recess this week from the Memorial Day recess. Pending action on national security issues is possible, including House consideration of the Senate-passed Supplemental Appropriations bill to pay for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. On May 22, the Senate approved funding for the war, rejected Iraq-related provisions, and added, with a veto-proof majority, the G.I. bill and a number of domestic funding provisions. A drop of life you are wasting
2008-05-31 12:32:00 In our holy Quran "Allah" SWT says "We create from Water everything life."All the experts are saying that we are heading towards a Water Crisis in the future , all the experts are saying that all the wars in the future especially in our regions will be not for oil or land or even Peace but for Water. It is something you can understand easily , water is the most important thing in life ,it is the essence of life .But of course we do not listen to all these warnings , they are just newspapers talk . Here I am not talking about environmental issues but I am speaking about a national security issue in Egypt.Last summer most Egyptians were shocked to know that there are other Egyptians in the valley who do not have access to Clean water , despite all the years of repetitive "In the time of President "X" all Egyptians have access to clean water and electricity !!" Those Egyptians do not have access to clean water where as a minority of Egyptians in the north Coast use water for their swi...
President Carter and the Israeli Nukes

They have 150 nuclear assorted weapons from bombs to rockets to submarines ,you name it but no one care , the IAEA does not inspect nor demand an inspection nor the EU and American administration impose sanctions on Israel !! Thank you again President Carter for saying the truth , we do not need anything except the truth , we do not want you to condemn the inhuman siege of Gaza , but just say the truth. 150 Nuclear assorted weapons and what is hidden can be greater like the Arabic classic proverb !! With my all respect the IAEA should stalk Israel instead of Stalking Iran, Syria and all other Arab countries with Nuclear ambitions with Isr...

I do not know if you know or not but there was an attack on the Sudanese capital Khartoum by the Darfur rebels , yes I know it is strange because this is the capital and should be a fortress to any attack , but what you know , it seems that the Sudanese army need an urgent help for Egypt that Mubarak ordered the EAF to send a couple of air fighters to the capital and an army cargo military plane to the Khartoum on Saturday according to the eye witnesses to Reuters . Coal is Critical to our National Security
2008-05-11 04:50:00 Barack Obama is trying to appeal to rural voters in Kentucky by running a coal ad that touts his accomplishment of helping secure funds for clean coal technology. (See Ad Here) He is also planning on campaigning a bit in the Bluegrass State. I am little surprised he is but glad to see it. But I am not sure just how coal friendly Barack Obama really is, I hate to say that but it is true. We look at Saudi Arabia as the king of good light crude oil. Venezuela's heavier crude is becoming more coveted and is making that small country very rich. The United States is the Saudi Arabia of coal and our very future depends on providing cheap energy to America and then the world. A study a few years ago weighed in on the possibility of the tap running dry in the Middle East and or soaring oil prices becoming a prelude to a bitter recession that could provide a death blow to part of our society as we know it. The impact on the economy would be devastating and then our national s...

Haitian Cargo Ships Present Too Great A Risk To Bahamas National Security
2008-04-21 23:49:00 Ban on Haitian boat would double import costs: By INDERIA SAUNDERS, Guardian Business Desk - Nassau, Bahamas: A pending ban on Haitian sloops in our waters could take the wind out of the sails of a business that has only begun to develop – entirely legal trade between Haiti and The Bahamas. Last week, Director of Immigration Vernon Burrows confirmed the policy change, suggesting those cargo ships present too great a risk to national security. While the wooden-hulled vessels are suspected of playing a major role in the trafficking of drugs, guns and humans, they're also the only freighters that conduct regular and direct import runs from the impoverished nation. It is, of course, the homeland of an increasing number of Bahamians and a target for local businesses looking to trim supply costs. The government decision represents yet another hurdle in the latter's path and is most likely an answer to requests from American officials. Just last month, the new U.S. Internat...
Another stupid presidential decree

Countdown: Sen. Biden Interview 'Dems Stronger on National Security'
2008-04-16 18:13:00 The laughable bullshit starts at the 4:20 mark. Democrats have a LONG history of appeasement, back stabbing, and cowering towards direct threats to America. You only have to look at Jimmy Carters trip to meet with Hamas to see that. They've continually denounced everything about America, and blamed America and Americans for the world's ills, so you tell me, who's stronger on national security? The folks who went after threats to this country, or those who let attack after attack happen to Americans for almost a decade without doing anything about it until 1998? Let's not forget the 1993 bombing of the WTC, the US Embassy bombings, the USS Cole, and the list goes on and on. The response? A couple of missile strikes. Travis travis@rightwinglunatic.com

Outsourced passports netting govt. profits, risking national security
2008-03-27 00:33:00 The United States has outsourced the manufacturing of its electronic passports to overseas companies ? including one in Thailand that was victimized by Chinese espionage ? raising concerns that cost savings are being put ahead of national security, an investigation by The Washington Times has found. The Government Printing Office's decision to export the work has proved lucrative, allowing the agency to book more than $100 million in recent profits by charging the State Department more money for blank passports than it actually costs to make them, according to interviews with federal officials and documents obtained by The Times. The profits have raised questions both inside the agency and in Congress because the law that created GPO as the federal government's official printer explicitly requires the agency to break even by charging only enough to recover its costs. Re-read that again. It's ok, I'll wait. Someone in the government thought it was a GREAT FUCKING IDEA...
