Cubala...

Malaysia's 50me anniversaire.Negaraku, a song by a Malaysian Chinese from Muar, Johor. I love it.He sings about our country from the Chinese?s prospective. (You know la, the usual issues) He talks about our famously corrupted police, our affirmative action, though he's surprisingly positive about it, our beloved Mosques and our highly inefficient public service.New's that he'll be charged for modifying our national anthem and at the same time, indirectly critisizing our government. Sounds familiar? Welcome to Malaysia. For those who do not understand Chinese, I assure you that this guy did not in any way insult our country; what he sung was reality, and I can feel his patriotism for our country.-gAvIn-
