Did Neil Patrick Harris' Emmy song top Tony tune?
2009-09-21 07:42:00 Emmy host Neil Patrick Harris tapped the same songwriting team whipped up his amazing Tony Award number to write his opening song for Sunday's 61st annual Primetime Emmy Awards on CBS. Broadway composers Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman wrote "Don't Touch That Remote," which I initially thought was a rather pathetic way to beg viewers to watch the broadcast. I don't love it as much as the Tony song, but it would take a lot to top that one. Below are the lyrics courtesy of MEDIAite. Thanks guys! Listen to the song and tell me what you think. You like it more than the Tony song below?...
Neil Perfect Harris wins as Emmy host
2009-09-21 06:06:00 Neil Patrick Harris opened Sunday night's 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony by begging viewers to stick with the three-hour broadcast the whole night. "Put down the remote!" he sang. Viewers who did were treated to a brisk, mostly entertaining show pulled along by Harris' unstoppable energy and obvious popularity with the audience at the Nokia Theatre in Hollywood....
Awesome Alert: Neil Patrick Harris Edition
2009-09-08 20:19:00 Fanning the flames of what some might call an unhealthy obsession with Neil Patrick Harris comes this new promo for his latest hosting gig: THE 64st ANNUAL PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS (airing September 20th on CBS at 8PM). Oh — and while we’re on the subject — there is absolutely no truth to the rumour that the TV Addict is not attending this year’s Emmy Ceremony as a result of some totally unsubstantiated court-ordered restraining order that doesn’t allow us within fifty feet of the actor. We’re just sayin’ Charges may-or-may-not still be pending. Thanks to Stay In for the Tip!

SCRUBS’ Neil Flynn Talks the Future of the Janitor
2009-08-26 21:15:00 After eight years of successfully avoiding any actual janitorial duties, SCRUBS’ ubiquitous Janitor is packing up his cleaning supplies. But thankfully for fans of his portrayer, actor Neil Flynn, he isn’t moving far. In fact, this fall (Wednesday September 30 at 8:30PM to be exact) Flynn is trading in his mop for a minivan, joining fictional TV wife Patricia Heaton on the new half-hour laugher THE MIDDLE, where he’ll play the thankless father to three kids. (Or as Flynn describes his TV brood, “heads of state compared to [SCRUBS co-stars] Zach Braff and Donald Faison!”) Same night (Wednesday), same network (ABC), just far less work. “With SCRUBS there were so many different setups, sometimes 40 or 60 different shots,” explained Flynn when asked to compare the difference between the two shows. “Cut away to this, cutaway to that, shooting SCRUBS took a lot of time!” Not that you’ll hear Flynn complaining. “My particul...

Morning Static: Chuck Bass, Neil Patrick Harris & More!
2009-08-26 15:41:00 Welcome to our morning round-up of big/interesting TV news that you may have missed over the past 24 hours because unlike us, there’s a fairly good chance that have a life outside of the small screen. On the very same day Michael Ausiello breaks the news that has Chuck Bass going gay in GOSSIP GIRL’s sixth episode of the season, the CW released the above photo. Coincidence, we think not! [EW] From his Emmy-worthy performance on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, to his extra-curricular TV Land, Tony and upcoming Emmy hosting duties comes yesterday’s news that Neil Patrick Harris was tapped by AMERICAN IDOL to guest judge during the show’s recent audition stop in Dallas. Begging the question, is their anything the legendary NPH can’t do? I mean, aside from the whole getting married thing. [LATimes] Take that America, Paris Hilton can read! How else to explain this recent paparazzi shot snapped upon her arrival in Vancouver for an upcoming guest spot on SUPERNATURAL....

Kevin O'Neil, CTA Tattler blogger, on GML
2009-08-05 02:12:00 Watch Garrard and Kevin O'Neil banter about Mr. Marcel Carter - the alleged CTA "hacker." Should he be punished for his alleged 300 transmissions on CTA communications? Or should probation be the order of the day. No crashes, no explosions...no prison for Marcel Carter. Watch CTA Tattler blogger Kevin O'Neil, disagree with Garrard's proposal to hire Marcel as a consultant on the CTA. ...

2009-07-16 07:00:00 The Time Out Chicago blog reminds us that Shel Silverstein's hometown is Chicago, and takes the message home with a live Millenium Park recording of Jon Langford performing "A Boy Named Sue." GB's Andrew Huff caught up with local film producer Eric Neal to discuss the upcoming Green Hornet web series.Last weekend at the American Library Association conference in Chicago, Neil Gaiman accepted the Newbery Award and signed lots of books, while author James Kennedy challenged Gaiman to a fight. And, the Oak Park Public Library Warrior Librarians earned the gold book cart in the fifth annual Library Book Cart Drill Team Championship.Sure, we've all been to the Art Institute, but have you ever spent much time on their website?
