2012-02-05 04:54:00 Yuri Anime Media Blasters has put the release of Ikkitousen: Great Guardians on indefinite hold. Not surprising, but not cheery news. Nico Nico Douga will be streaming the first episode of the Shoujo Magi Madoka Magica anime with English dub, on February 10 at 11:30 p.m. EST. Other countries getting streams are Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. I hope they'll be streaming a sub too. Dub only means I'm watching it raw, if I can. RightStuf has let me know that they have a countdown on the first two seasons of Maria Watches Over Us. This means that they are down to their last few hundred art-box copies of the anime. If you've been holding off, now is a great time to get this anime and spend some quality time with the ladies of Lillian Girl's School. A quick looks tells me that Season 2 is down to just over 50 copies left, so don't wait too long! Bharti Airtel To Renew Network Maintenance Contract With NSN
2011-12-07 12:13:00 India’s largest mobile phone operator Bharti Airtel is set to renew its network maintenance contract for its 8 circles and 3 years with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN). NSN is a joint venture between Finland’s Nokia Corporation and Siemens AG of Germany, manages and maintains Bharti Airtel’s networks in eight regions, while Sweden’s Ericsson handles the remaining 15 circles. While NSN declines to make any comment, service contract is pegged to be close to 300 Million$ mark. It is not known whether the duration of renewal is likely to decline due to NSN’s decision of reducing its global workforce by 17,000 which will include India, and exiting non-core businesses. The K-ON! movie debuted today in Japan yesterday. ^_^ I'm pretty sure I heard the screaming over here. If you're around Ikebukuro at then end of the year, take a trip over to Sunshine City, where in the Cultural Hall you'll find a Madoka Magica Exhibit. A map has been released with exhibit info. 2011-12-02 09:00:00 I have been writing about network sniffing lately. back on the 22nd of last month I talked about using an alternative to Wireshark called Microsoft Network Monitor (MNM). Although I did find that tool to be easier to use, and read data than Wireshark, it simply didn't collect all of the data that I needed it to. You see, if you read that post, you will know that we have this weird intermittent issue where all traffic in or out of one particular VLAN will drop for about 2 to 5 minutes. Just enough time for connections from our production web servers to lose connection with the database on the back end. During these hiccups as I like to call them, all traffic within that VLAN still proceeds without issue.Well we had another hiccup the night before last, and I rushed to my computer, VPN'd into the office, and remoted into the computer where I was running Microsoft Network Monitor. Alternative To Wireshark in Windows For Network Monitoring and Analysis

Maybe once or twice per week, one of our VLANs will drop out for about 5 minutes, then come back up. I was talking with a Network Engineer friend of mine, and he thought it was probably a spanning-tree issue, however I'm not convinced of that. I explained the issue to another friend of mine who has been doing networking for a really long time, and he doesn't think it's a spanning-tree issue because only the one VLAN goes down, and all traffic on that VLAN doesn't stop. Anything on that VLAN can still talk to each other, it's the inter-VLAN routing that stops working, and that is handled by the firewall.Great, so look at the firewall right? Not really, because my company thought it would be a good idea to hire a managed firewall solution prior to me being hired. Working with those guys is like sticking needles in your eyes. Right Stuf, Inc.and Nozomi Entertainment are pleased to announce the first story arc of REVOLUTIONARY GIRL UTENA, known to fans as The Student Council Saga, will be added to the streamed anime programming found at www.youtube.com/nozomient. The first two remastered episodes,?The Rose Bride?and?For Whom the Rose Smiles? are now available for viewing to fans in the United States and Canada. Two additional remastered episodes (through episode 12) will be posted each week leading up to the December release of the third and final limited-edition Utena DVD box set.
