According to airline's executive vice president Hitesh Patel, the ministry of communication's nod has been sought as the company wants to provide this service from day one of its international services that start in August."Our wide-bodied aircraft are coming installed with the required infrastructure for inflight mobile service. Airbus is doing this job and we are seeking regulatory approvals from agencies like the department of telecommunication," he said.Of the two carriers that currently fly abroad, Jet Airways is yet to decide on providing this service. New Delhi (PTI): After a brief lull, GSM operators are once again at loggerheads with the government over spectrum allocation saying new players should not be given frequency other than on first-come-first-serve basis decided by their application date.The government is, however, in no mood to wait as neither the telecom tribunal TDSAT nor the Delhi High Court have stayed the process to issue telecom licenses to nine firms who have been given Letters of Intent last month or allocation of spectrum to start mobile services as soon as possible.Spectrum is a radio frequency used by mobile operators to offer wireless communication services. The apex advisory council for telecom in India (ACT) has decided to form a common code of conduct for verification of mobile connections. The new code would be applicable across the country. If any dealer or retailer is found violating the norms, the entire industry would blacklist the retailer or dealer.ACT, a joint council of the cellular operators association of India (COAI) and the association of unified telecom services providers of India (AUSPI), has asked the department of telecommunication (DoT) not to impose any penalty on the industry for at least six months as the new guidelines would automatically bring down the rate of non-compliance.ACT would also hand over the name of the black-listed dealers to the DoT and the concerned security agencies.Earlier, DoT has proposed a penalty on the service provider in case of violation of the norms related to subscriber verification. India Tata Motors will unveil teh Rs 1-lakh car during the ninth Auto Expo scheduled in New Delhi on January 10. However, commercial launch of the model will not take place before mid-2008. Tata Motors will be jointly participating with Fiat in the expo, which begins on January 9, and will be spread over a pavilion of over 5,200 square metres. The Auto Expo, a biennial event, has been showcasing the Indian automobile and auto component industry for the last 18 years. The Rs 1-lakh car, which the Tatas say will be a ?people?s car?, has been much talked about not only in India but in the global arena in recent times.

An exclusive Burgundy wine tasting was held on November 29th, 2007 at the Taj Man Singh Hotel in New Delhi. 25 wines from 3 great producers - Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils, Domaine Faiveley and Château de Fuissé, covering a vast range of wines, were tasted. The wines included mostly a selection of top Premier Cru sites, some Grand Cru's and featured two horizontals from the same appellation to explain the impact of terroir and the climat as each sub-plot is referred to in Burgundy.
