Dream; Harmony; New Space - Geely to unveil new MPV at Beijing show
2008-03-29 04:24:00 Dream; Harmony; New Space - Geely to unveil new MPV at Beijing show Dream; Harmony; New Space is Geely's theme for this year's Beijing Motor Show and the Chinese automaker will help carry that theme with an all-new MPV. Dubbed the Geely HL MPV, China's newest people mover will share the Geely stage with 17 other production and concept vehicles — including the Geely GT. As with the GT concept, Geely is keeping tight-lipped about the new HL MPV. Although the Chinese automaker has yet to release the overall dimensions of the new minivan, expect the HL MVP to be about the same size as the Mazda5. As far as styling goes, the HL MVP looks almost as if the Geely designers made a minivan out of the new Acura TSX. However, the imaged released is just a rendering, so the actual car could look a bit different. Just back for more images and details after the HL MPV's unveiling next month.
Is a new space race in the making?
2008-03-14 14:25:00 According to U.S. officials, the shooting down of their satellite took place at a low orbit, meaning the resultant cloud of debris would mostly fall into the atmosphere and burn up. The Chinese anti-satellite missile left a cloud of debris in a higher orbit. Analysts worry that that the U.S. move might provide other nations an ...

My New Space
2008-01-06 00:12:00 Hi, I just want to tell you that i am shifting to my new flat on Monday. So, I am damn busy with the packing and stuff. I don’t think I will be available from Monday till Friday. this is one of the problem of shifting my house. But, there is one more problem, and that one is a big issue. Like I’ll be facing financial problem as the rent would be $100 plus $100( Property Dealer’s Commission) and some security deposits. That goes to $500 approximately. My friend was letting me about No Fax Payday Loans. I did some search about it and I think I’ll be going with it if I face some financial trouble. I think you can also rely on them, if you are in such kind of situation. Taking loans can solve your problem as they are easy and fast to get.

We passes the Inspections!
2007-12-21 17:19:00 So on Tuesday the "Task Force" came out to inspect us for the Performing Arts Venue Licence. This was one of the most nerve racking events of my young life. I went out and bought a dozen bagles and two big Box 'o Joe's (not as a bribe but as a gesture of good will, to put said inpectors in a good mood) but it wasn't needed. Everyone was so nice, and they told me the little things they would like me to work on next time through (for example the fan in the bathroom doesn't work, but the window opens. So technically that passes the Venilation Department because the bathroom can be ventilated. But he would like us to fix the fan). Everyone was friendly and nice. Telling me what other inspectors might look out for, what to work towards, and so on. The Main thing was that the space was safe for folks to get in and out of. It is so we passes with flying colors.Yeah! Merry Christmas indeed! if (typeof window.Delicious == "undefined") window.Delicious = {}; Delicious.BLOG...

A balanced stage picture
2007-11-29 19:10:00 Time Out Chicago / Issue 144 : November 29, 2007 - December 5, 2007Rabble-rouser Angie McMahon finds an Artistic Home for Chemically Imbalanced Comedy.By Kim Jeffries WE ROLLIN’, THEY HATIN’ McMahon and co. do it their own way. Being a nomad isn’t fun. But Angela McMahon, executive producer and cofounder of vagabond theater company Chemically Imbalanced Comedy, tried hard to make it work over the last seven years. But her 20-member group won’t have to cart around its sketch, improv, stand-up and comic theater pieces for much longer. After wandering from Wise Guys pub to Frankie J’s on Broadway to the Cornservatory, CIC takes over the 40-seat Artistic Home theater in Lakeview, with its Saturday showcase remounting in the new space starting Saturday 1.“We were under a lot of constraints being an itinerant theater company,” she says, sitting in the dusty black-box space during a break in renovat...
Three Days till we open!
2007-11-28 17:09:00 by Angie McMahonThis is gonna be a long one cause I haven't had much time to write so I am gonna just try to sum up this past month. On Oct 31 at 6pm I got the call from the Artistic Home that they were ready to give me the key. I got in the car and went right over there. I had been waiting all day for the call. When I got there the Artistic Director was waiting with a company member for a ride to come get them. I got the key, excused myself and started to hang my sign in the window: I wasn't even gonna wait for the body to be cold, I wasn't gonna waist one second of marketing time. It was Halloween and I wanted drunk teens to know where we were! The Next Day was cleaning day. The idea was we would clean everything so we weren't gonna get dirt on top of dirt. The highlight for me was 1. I shoveled six 33 gallon garbage bins of dirt out of the basement. The walls crumble and the last folks didn't (at least it looks like to me) shop vac on a regular basis. Also 2. I worked...

Space Day Seven
2007-10-31 14:15:00 Shopping by Angie McMahonSo yesterday was a big shopping day. We still don't have ownership of the space yet (we get the key today around 2pm, I may Video Log it). So Harry (our space designer) and I had to sneak in through the basement to stack whatever we bought. So the morning starts with Harry climbing over the locked fence to unlock it so we can go in the basement (because the only key I have is the basement key). After Harry gets a huge bruise in the middle of his stomach where the fence got him we are in. He takes a look at the wood that is being left for us by the last Theater Company and decided lots of it is usable (most likely why it was left). We start on the adventure. First stop back at the Synagogue that is closing to pick up what I was told is a couple of good pieces of wood. Please excuse my ignorance my Jewish blog readers but the Synagogue recently tore down a structure that they make every year for a holiday I am unfamiliar with. The way it was explained ...

Space Day Six
2007-10-29 18:16:00 The Walk Throughby Angie McMahonYesterday I did the walk through with The Artistic Home. This was slightly depressing and exciting at the same time. I remember the when I first moved out of my parents house. All the little things that were just always there that I took for granted. The moment that hit me was when I wanted to clip my toe nails and I realized I don't own a toe nail clipper. Its not something you think about when you are packing up your boxes. It is something you just discover the moment you need it.We walked through the space and the Artistic Director Kathy told me what was being left for us and what we would need to get. They are taking the door that leads from the lobby to the Theater. THE DOOR. I guess we don't NEED a door, but I have never had to shop for a door before. They are taking the fire extinguishers, lots of the mirrors, and some of the shelves. We have to buy a new mirror for the bathroom cause they are taking it. Some of the walls have holes from ...
The Space Day Five
2007-10-25 18:07:00 by Angie McMahonSo I had an appointment to see my DBA caseworker. To hand in more paper work and get the process rolling. I wrote down that my appointment was at 9am. I had another Marketing class to get to, it also started at 9am but this was more important and I would have to again walk in late to my class. The class understood since it was mostly Theater Artists anyway.I get to City Hall 8th floor at 8:45am. I was told by the front Desk guy that my appointment was at 9:30am actually "Just so you know" he says. Ok, what am I gonna argue and not get seen. The thing is I was rushing so I wouldn't be late and stopped at a Gas Station after dropping my daughter off at school so I could get a cup of coffee. Shitty bad Foldgers coffee from the Shell station. But I still had my cup of joe. I sit down and take out my massive binder to go over my paper work to make sure I have all of it. Then I drop my coffee. The cup breaks and it splatters all over the floor. I am so embarra...

New Space, The Pasture!
2007-03-21 11:45:00 I have to laugh whenever I open the pasture. The girls usually get out there and start rolling and that triggers the dogs to bark and starts the girls moving which is funny because the two of them are as different as apples and oranges. Kola with her head held high, tail straight up in the air, legs flying outward and gaiting along. I'll then hear the thundering hooves of Misty who looks like a little wild mustang, neck stretched forward, ears pinned back and running with all of her might. Oh, I love to watch that! They just crack me up.Please visit http://midwesthorse.blogspot.co-m/index.html for more horse stories, information and resources.

Welcome to my new space
2006-08-07 15:39:02 Welcome to my new space and domain at www.wictorwilen.se. This new place will host my blog (previously at http://dotnetjunkies.com/weblog-/wicwil/).During the next few days all old posts and comments will be moved to this location. Having my own place will make it more easy for me to create what I want and to present and blog about more stuff. This site will be an experimental playground for me and I will blog about some of the interesting stuff that I stumble upon. So expect some changes to the site and functionality. The site is just a hobby, besides my work and family, which both takes a lot of time, but it is fun to have something to rest your mind on. This site is based on ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2000 hosted at DotNetPark. All code is custom made and experimental. Currently I have implemented a simple blog interface with pingback, trackback and comments functionality. If you find any troubles with this new site, please contact me at wictor@wictorwilen.se.
