Labeled "New Rave" by critics, the guys and gals of NYPC are quick to dismiss the label.NYPC is an unfamiliar name to most Americans yet from the first notes of "Ice Cream", it is immediately familiar. NYPC has done a great job with marketing. "Ice Cream" was licensed to Intel to be used in a commercial for their Dual Core Processor.That might not be the only reason it's so familiar. NYPC combines element of bands like Blondie, Talking Heads, New Order, and X-Ray Specs.The album has already broken into the top 100 in the UK and in Australia.
