Curry Jr. and Shameika Drain Curry, both 28, of 23 Still Pond Way, Henrietta, are charged with committing identity theft, mail fraud and bank fraud against Ashanti and several other people ? including actress Nia Long and Charles Curry's father ? to illegally purchase cars, obtain credit cards and write bogus checks. The Rochester, NY newspaper reports that the couple requested replacement Driver's Licenses in several people names including Ashanti. Shameika Curry used Ashanti's credit and secured a car loan for a 2003 Infiniti at Rochester Auto Connection. The loan was approximately $37,000. Ashanti has now filed an affidavit saying that she did not give anyone permission to use her credit.Shameika Curry also impersonated Nia Long by writing a $8,300 check to a cleaning service that she runs herself and cashing the check.
