Nicholas Cage Refuses To Pay The IRS
2008-04-23 22:29:00 It seems that Nicholas Cage needs a new tax adviser. The IRS is questioning his writeoffs of limos, meals, gifts, and personal jet travel in the amount of $3.3 million dollars. The write-offs were taken by his production company Saturn. Once they deny those deductions they will go back and amend his personal taxes to reflect that income.

August remake of their ?99 Thai crime thriller, Bangkok Dangerous, starring Nicholas Cage has hit the Web. Really, is this the best poster a designer could envision with a title like that? Cage, who at one point was also attached to a U.S. remake of Oldboy (those words always make a couple peoples? heads explode like Riki-Oh), plays a hitman who falls in love with a local lass and falls friends for an errand boy (like Short Round?!?). The World Trade Centre star has confessed that he has lost his passion for acting and his career has forced him to become withdrawn. "Some movie stars look like they are having a ball, but I'm tired of it. It has made me reclusive. That is an increasingly gnawing feeling in my body,” Contactmusic quoted him, as saying. En segundo lugar, quedó I Am Legend con 34 millones y la gran sopresa de este fin de año, Alvin y las ardillas con 29 millones de dólares, quedó en tercer lugar. Sweeney Todd tuvo sólo 9 millones de dólares de recaudación, y por un momento creí que estaba para más, pero parece que me he equivocado. The Golden Compass lleva recaudados en tres semanas, un total de 43 millones de dólares y está muy lejos de los 180 millones de presupuesto, por lo cual veo bastante negras cualquier posibilidad de realizar una secuela de la misma. The actor starred in the first film in 2004, and is now set to do so once again when 'National Treasure: Book of Secrets' opens in the US on December 21. The actor that he's hoping that the sequel is as successful as the original, and that it will spawn off another movie, namely 'International Treasure'. "National Treasure, I believe, should become more and more International Treasure. I was very happy to see that we went to [in the second one] London, England and Paris, France. But I?d like to see us go wider still," the actor said."I could go to Africa, Egypt, Asia and keep going. My hope is that Ben [would be] recruited and gets a dossier from these other countries about their history and he has to download it and learn and try to go on these hunts on their behalf."

2007-04-09 08:48:00 Nicholas Cage will be in India next year to shoot the highly anticipated movie “The Sadhu”. Written by Deepak Chopra and to be directed by Shekar Kapur, the movie is an adaptation of the comic book series. The film revolves around the English soldier James Jensen on the hunt in India for the man who murdered his family."Nick chose Shekhar to direct the film. The sadhu is an iconic character," said Gotham Chopra ahead of the launch of Virgin Comics in the subcontinent next week. "He is an Indian equivalent of the samurai. He is the spiritual warrior of the mind."Cage got interested in the project after reading the comic last year. "We sat down and talked to him about India and sadhus," said Gotham Chopra. "The story is very much set here and everybody including Nick loves the idea of shooting it in India."
