Nick Bollea, aka Nick Hogan, is of course still behind bars for his August car crash that put Marine John Graziano into a coma. But there's new news on the subject: ABC Action News just reported that Nick's attorneys have filed a civil lawsuit against Pinellas County Sheriff Jim Coats, claiming Nick is being forced to endure solitary confinement. Um, welcome to jail...it happens! Especially when you're a minor serving time in an adult facility, as Bollea is. And Sheriff's officials say Nick is being housed as he should be.

The Diva will probably not be posting every single day during the summer, but I will be sharing my snarkitude as stories break ...or I run out of cold champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. So here are my musings for today:Nick Bollea is upset because a judge denied his request to be released from solitary confinement and to be allowed to mingle in the general population... but he is not as upset as the rest of the prisoners who had already decided in what order they would all be filling his dance card. Nick must be a really special kind of stupid because anyone with half a brain would be sending thank you notes to whoever remanded him to solitary confinement. Hogan was sentenced to eight months in jail, five years' probation and 500 hours community service, and the judge took away his license for three years. His victim - and once best bud - John Graziano's family had asked for a year in the slammer.Testimonies were given by Bollea's family and John's sister and girlfriend. John's girlfriend told the judge how she had to feed him and how they have to watch movies together in the comfort ... of his hospital bed.He is the only sentenced juvenile in the juvenile population of the Pinellas County Jail. They include: - third-degree felony reckless driving involving serious bodily injury - use of a motor vehicle in commission of a felony, being under the age of 21 and operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of 0.02 percent or higher.
