2008-03-08 00:00:00 Been awhile again since I’ve done a lamer of the week post, but here we go… surprise some jackass on the Bnet forums still asking for a 4th race Shins Right now, there is a popular notion that its very undesirable to have four races, because Blizzard wont be able to diversify all of them enough. I can agree to a certain degree that four races wont be so different from each other. But here is MY suggestion that would justify adding an NEW exciting race: Why not design protoss in such a way that they play as mediocre like terran. Afterall their entire race was wiped out so they arent that strong anymore, and terran and zerg will have adapted to their fighting tactics. Zerg will retain their swarmish characteristics. The new race (xel naga) should be able to take the role of a powerful low unit count race, effectively replacing protoss’ shoes in SC:BW. But even then, terran ground >>> protoss ground in terms of unit count so Protoss doesnt really feel stron...
