2-for-1: Numbers point to Integral (ISYS)
2008-09-25 07:00:00 Neil Macneale (http://www.thestockadvisors.co-m/ccount/click.php?id=2385) builds his portfolio exclusively from stocks announcing splits. In his 2-for-1 newsletter (http://www.thestockadvisors.co-m/ccount/click.php?id=2385) he says, “Our choice this month is clear: Integral Systems (http://www.thestockadvisors.co-m/quote.htm?sym=isys) (NASDAQ: ISYS (http://www.thestockadvisors.co-m/quote.htm?sym=isys)).”&-ldquo;Market volatility is out of control and very worrisome. Baron Rothschild, a famous 19th century banker once said, ‘Buy when there is blood in the streets.’"It's not for me to say just when the blood is going to stop flowing, but there's no doubt many are bleeding. Put on your boots and keep buying.“Meanwhile, Integral Systems is an interesting company with a strong record of growth and profitability. The numbers game
2008-09-09 13:28:00 The polling trends continue. Rasmussen this monring, looks at their most recent polling in the five battleground states, and says: · McCain is trusted more than Obama in all five states. · In all five states, McCain is viewed more favorably than Obama. · Also, in all five states, Sarah Palin draws higher “Very Favorable” ratings than any other candidate. · In all states except Colorado, McCain enjoys a bigger margin among Republicans than Obama does among Democrats. In Colorado, they are even. · Economic issues are the top issue in all five states with national security matters a distant second. · The number who would not be comfortable with Obama as President is higher in every state than the number saying the same about McCain. This is consistent with national polling data showing that McCain voters are more likely than Obama supporters to be primarily voting against the other candidate. · Obama has the edge among unaffiliated voters in three states, McCain in two. Fractions of Sevenths
2008-08-23 23:11:00 “There is an interesting pattern with the fractions of sevenths (1/7th, 2/7th, 3/7th, 4/7th, 5/7th, 6/7th.). First, there are only 6 digits that are used in these fractions, and they repeat. So, for example, 1/7th is equal to .142857142857142857….(it- keeps going). but here’’s the cool part - to get 2/7th, you just find the next ...

Tracing telephone numbers
2008-08-22 06:31:00 Recently, just after returning from Thailand, I was deluged by prank calls in the wee hours of the night. I ignored it at first because I thought it would just stop. But it didn?t, so I picked it up only to find out that the most of the callers wanted someone to talk to, like a phone-pal. In other words, they want to practice talking in English. Come on, at that unholy time? And when asked where they got my number and how did they know that I am not a local, the uncouth callers won?t tell or give made up answers. This is one reason I hate having telephones. I wish there?s a caller ID system here where you can trace the prank caller?s name and address and report to proper authorities for actions. But for people in the US and Canada, this is not a problem. People who are constantly victimized by prank and/or annoying callers and telemarketers, there's a company that offers a free look up service where they look up the owner and address of any unknown telephone numbers. My friend who...

2008-08-22 03:52:00 A few years back, we took the kids on a brief trip to Chicago. We saw some sights, looked around at things like Soldier Field and the Sears Tower, went to the Art Institute, and finished off the trip with a family trip to watch the touring company of "The Producers."Coming out of it, we all agreed, except The Boy, that it was a great show. The Boy held fast and said that he didn't like those musicals."You liked it," I told him, and he said no, he didn't care for those songs."You'll be singing one of those songs before you even know it," he said. We all walked on and looked for a place to get dinner, but before we'd even reached the end of the block, I heard from off to my left The Boy, softly singing "Springtime... for Hitler, and Germany," and when we called him on it, he was embarrassed.Embarrassing The Boy is pretty much the perfect way to end a really good vacation. Still, like most vacations, it could have been an even greater one. With only a limited time in Chicago, ...

Java: Numbers only String by removing non numeric characters
2008-07-31 14:05:00 With Java, deleting non numeric characters (letters, symbols etc) from a string to produce a numbers-only String is a common requirement in web applications, as application users are used to insert numeric values with non-numeric characters. China Corruption By The Numbers. With Your Help, Coming Soon To An Interne
2008-07-12 00:57:00 Received an email the other day from TRACE International asking us to plug their excellent BRIBEline website that seeks to document global corruption. The website records anonymous reporting of bribe demands: Bribeline is a secure, multi-lingual website through which companies and individuals can anonymously report the bribe demands they receive. Making a report on BRIBEline is quick and easy. The online survey is available in Chinese and 20 other languages. Completing the survey involves answering no more than ten multiple-choice questions. No names are requested or collected, the individual is not asked if the bribe was paid, and reports made to BRIBEline are not used for investigations or prosecutions. From the reports, we hope to get a grip on what groups are demanding bribes, where they are demanding them, and under what circumstances. I am not aware of any other websites or organizations attempting to collect this data and I urge all of our readers who have experienced such...

Iron Maiden Go Back in Time in NYC: A Full Report, By the Numbers
2008-06-18 00:15:00 Share on StumbleUpon: Relying exclusively on 20-year-old tunes would typically be the sign of a band throwing in the towel, but Iron Maidens Somewhere Back in Time tour is more like a band chewing up its own history and spitting it out for two solid hours. As a sort of make-up for the last tour, when the band played its latest slow jamz-laden album, A Matter of Life and Death, in its entirety, last nights show at New Yorks Madison Square Garden was all Eighties, all the time (fine, one song from 1992). The band sprinted out like a bunch of teenagers to open with a searing Aces High, and frontman/band pilot Bruce Dickinson nailed every note with his storied air raid siren voice sounding no worse for the wear. Too Much Inventory - May Numbers
2008-06-11 13:44:00 There's a constant refrain here. And, I know I sound like a record stuck in a groove. But May numbers continue to reinforce that we've still got too much inventory. Culpeper County shows we're only eight units off where we were last year at this time. The good news is that sales jumped substantially this month. And, I'm not using month over month comparisons, but year over year. Both new contracts and closed sales took a big jump. But that pace is going to need to continue for months in order to start to see the reduction in inventory we need in order to stabilize prices. In Fauquier County last year at this point in time we hit our highest number ever for inventory. Unlike Culpeper, we've come down substantially. A year ago there were 867 homes for sale and now it's only 764. The contracts written and the sales closed are both also up, if not quite as much as in Culpeper. Prince William County actually has a large increase in inventory. W...

Latest Foreclosure Numbers Show 97.5% of Homeowners Pay on Time...
2008-06-06 00:00:00 That could be an alternate title to the news story claiming Homes in foreclosure top 1 million, but it probably wouldn't gain that much attention. As they say in the media, "if it bleeds, it leads."The news on Wall Street today was wildly positive. Stocks closed up sharply, unemployment was down for the week and even retail sales were up last month. The American consumer is alive and well.I'm not trying to downplay the foreclosure situation, because the numbers are truly staggering. If we take into account the fraud and speculation over the past few years, many of the homes being "lost" were never occupied to begin with. Consider some of the fraud stories covered here: Casey Serin had 8 empty houses lost to foreclosure; Zareh Tahmassebian several dozen; Brad Kitchen also had dozens. Workouts for those loans were simply not possible.Consumers are taking advantage of the deals in real estate owned (REO) properties. Sentiment has turned. The revival will probably begin in the ...
Are whole numbers what they used to be?
2008-06-05 21:52:00 It used to be that whole numbers held a particular strength for intraday traders for support or resistance, and to a lesser degree 25s and 50s. This was more the case with NYSE, but also with NASDAQ to some degree. But now, with RegNMS, multiple market centers, dark pools, and everything else that has developed over the last few years, it seems that this has changed. Do you find that these numbers have any significance for intraday traders on a support/resistance basis anymore?

Jason Elam was a stalwart for the Broncos for 15 years before leaving this off-season to play for the Atlanta Falcons . While it is sad to think someone who has meant so much to the Broncos over the years would not be able to finish his career in Orange and Blue, I'll choose to think of all the things he was able to accomplish as a Bronco and just how good he was at a position that is so critical to the success or failure of a football team. For his career, Elam owns just about every scoring record in Broncos History, including Games Played, Points Scored, Field Goals Made, Field Goals Attempted, Field Goal Percentage, Extra Points Made and Extra Points Attempted. Elam also earned League Honors, going to 3 Pro Bowls...

The Greatest Broncos of All Time....By The Numbers - #0
2008-06-04 19:28:00 He we go. This series, starting with #0, will take us all the way until the Broncos and Raiders get ready to open the 2008 season. It is my hope that it will inform, entertain, and create some debate among Broncos fans about different guys that have worn different numbers. In some cases, there will be no debate because a number was only worn by one person. That is the case with #0, who saw just one season of activity in a Broncos uniform. The Greatest Bronco To Ever Wear #0 - John Olszewski, FB -- 1962 Johnny 'O' Olszewski was an All-American Running Back at CAL from 1949-1952 before being drafted with the 4th Overall pick in the 1953 NFL Draft by the Chicago Cardinals. Always Offer Blog RSS Updates via E-Mail - Adsense Blog Numbers Prove the I
2008-06-04 02:14:00 If you are a blog owner, always provide an option for readers to subscribe to your blog content using RSS-to-email services like the ones offered by Feedburner, FeedBlitz or R-Mail.Why ? Because a huge population on the web still don't know what to do with that orange XML icon on your blog and even if they do, they find a traditional email newsletter more convenient than managing a feedreader. And this is true even for techie blogs where a good percentage of users already have an idea about RSS. Take for example the Google Adsense blog - they have some 1,500 subscribers on Bloglines but more than 10,000 readers have chosen to receive new content via email newsletters (powered by Google Groups). Now these numbers from Google just underline the fact that email subscriptions can sometimes be more important than RSS feeds. And when we look at our feed stats, the email subscribers constitute a healthy 30% of our entire subscriber base who get an email every weekday at 2 PM IST contai...
The Greatest Broncos Of All Time....By The Numbers - An Introduction
2008-06-03 20:07:00 I'll say it, right off the bat, this isn't what you think. Well, acually, it is what you think. A new series here on MileHighReport that will break down the best Broncos of all time, with a twist. With just under 100 days until the Broncos and Raiders get their respective 2008 regular season's under way I figured I would find a way to pass the time and have some fun. Here's what is going to happen. I am going to break down the Greatest Broncos to ever wear a certain number. Starting with #0(yep, someone wore #0 for the Broncos) and going all the way to #99 I'll give you who I think was the best player to ever wear a certain number. A couple of gimmies, of course, will be the guys that have had their numbers retired. Other easy ones will be numbers that were only worn by one player. In that case, consider this a history lesson. Of course, there is going to be a debate and I will include a poll, where applicable, to figure out if yo...
