This came directly on the heels of an incident that involved the police, and charges have been filed on that. I wish I could spill the whole story, but I’m pretty sure I’d be getting nasty calls from a lawyer if I did. Needless to say I’m not online a lot right now(internet at home has been cut off, not by me) and so my blogging has been a bit less. As things calm down I promise I’ll be writing a bit more, and this tale will all be told in time. (Please excuse the slowness in approving comments if you are new here, again, no internet access.) Not because it's a bad idea, but because there just isn't a good enough way to do it at the moment. Speaking at GCDC, Rolston, lead designer for Oblivion, and Bates, author of Game Design: The Art and Business of Creating Games, discussed the difficulties in creating games with complex storylines that gave the player a variety of options.
