2007-12-31 00:12:00 I shall report to you shortly on the re-union. I am unable to do so on account of a very bad hangover. Many angry bees appear to have got into my head overnight. I am pleased to say that most of my old school chums are not subscribing to the Scottish Executive's Health Nazi policy of promoting sensible drinking. The folly of this policy is self-evident: this is Scotland; it is nearly Hogmanay - why on earth does everybody in the world want to come here? Is it because we can tell you how many units of alcohol are in a luke warm pineapple Bacardi Breezer, or is it because everyone in the whole country is completely hammered and having a brilliant time? Fair enough, we may may all have stinking hangovers the next day, and we may be hastening the grim-reaper's elbow as his scythe swings closer to our throat, but this is the Party Season. It is up to us if we want to get drunk.

Commuting in FlatLand - October 31
2007-10-31 14:21:00 Another interesting Motorcycle Commute this morning in FlatLand. The Stationary Front that's been parked over FlatLand for a week now continues to provide interesting riding weather. I started my commute on the North Side of the Front with heavy overcast sky's and some blustery wind. As I crossed to the South Side of the Front the sky's started clearing to more of a broken cover with light steady wind. Traffic was light on surface streets and the Toll Road was clear and moving well, right up to the Gunn Highway exit where it became a Parking Lot. I exited the Toll Road at Gunn Highway and took surface streets to the office and had school bus traffic to deal with. Whatcha Gonna Do?
