He has said he'd be able to come back at 100% next season.Just to explain something important from the video: he says he will visit the doctor on August 24th. He expects to be cleared to play at that time. Then he can really start getting back into basketball shape. Oh he's going to cost more than I'm sure the Glazers would like to spend (14.5 mil in '08 and 17.3 mil in '09), but he's also 24 years old, averages over 1,100 yards a season, and has proved to be durable over his short NFL career. 2007-12-23 17:20:00 John Harper of the New York Daily News referenced the fact that the New York Mets have shown the same lack of urgency in the off-season they showed during the regular-season, which culminated in the greatest collapse in baseball history.By pairing Dan Haren with Brandon Webb at the top of their rotation, the Arizona Diamnodbacks now have the type of elite pitching that makes them built for October, along with the best nucleus of young position players in the majors, one that already has a division title under its belt.Suddenly, then, there should be a little more urgency for the Mets to improve themselves. Signing reliever Matt Wise five days ago was hardly the move to justify those higher ticket prices. As for starting pitchers, the Mets seem to be zeroing in instead on a veteran reclamation project such as Kyle Lohse, Bartolo Colon or Livan Hernandez.
