Jeff Buckley covers are dangerous. He had a very soulful distinctive voice, and most covers of his songs fail by comparison. One Republic, who are currently sidestepping the one-hit-wonder curse, released a cover of "Last Goodbye" on their new EP, and it's really not that terrible. I found a live acoustic version that they did of the song, and it's actually better than their studio version. This version actually holds up pretty well to Buckley's version, even though nothing will top the original.

*One republic* is an american band which is alter-rock/pop-rock /piano rock by genre. *Dreaming Out loud* is their only released album which is superbly awesome-O. The songs are soo soothing .. Vocals is noice.. The guitar driven tune with some melodious piano work and the lyrics made the songs sweet. To me The band sounds lyk *Cold play* and *The fray* ( I guess becuz of piano).. I meant the same type of music..if anyone lyk those bands definitely *One republic *is worth listening.. _*Recommended songs:*_ **Stop and stare *Apologize *Prodigal *Good-bye apathy *Say *Come home* hehe almost half of the album songs I have suggested.. so better to dload the whole album..:P

This routine has become quite frequent lately an album is leaked, released, and then comes the Bonus Tracks. So let me get right to it and give you guys 2 Bonus Tracks that you would have recieved if you bought your copy at Target or Circuit City. First we have "Trapt Door" a midtempo track that would have fit right along with the album, and "Hearing Voices" one of my fave tracks so far it's a great ballad. OK, here's the thing: "Apologize" does nothing for me. I think it sounds like it's O.R.'s trying too hard. So I was really surprised when I heard their new album, "Dreaming Out Loud", and really enjoyed it. It's not groundbreaking, but it's totally listenable and worth an hour of your time. I assumed One Republic was going to turn out to be one of those 1.5-hit wonders like The Fray, but this is a really solid album that could put them on the map for a while. Here's the video for their upcoming single "Mercy", a song that's ten thousand times better than anything I had come to expect from "The Apologize Band".
