Now either seeing sense in the news folks words or bowing to their might (the risk of not having any authentic content to provide to the users being high), Google has announced that it will limit a user’s access to content on a paid news site. According to BBC, Newspaper publishers will now be able to set a limit on the number of free news articles people can read through Google. Opportunity knocked, but the Bears couldn't answer
2009-11-23 07:36:00 The Bears had their chances against Philadelphia. Three times, they had receivers wide open with no one between them and the end zone. Jay Cutler overthrew every one. That proved to be the difference as the Bears lost to the Eagles 24-20. It was their third straight loss and 5th in 6 games and dropped their record to 4-6. The Eagles are 6-4 and tied with the Giants and Packers for the two wild card spots in the NFC playoffs. The Bears passing attack sank to a season-low. Cutler averaged just 3.6 yards a pass play. Catastrophe Or Opportunity? Chicago's First Unionized Charter School
2009-10-30 19:15:00 Teachers at three Chicago charter schools (Civitas' Ralph Ellison Campus, Northtown Academy and Wrightwood Campus) voted overwhelmingly to ratify their contract, according to this press release from Chicago ACTS, making them the first charter schools in the city to become unionized. Roughly 140 teachers and staff are included. Whether others will follow is anyone's guess. Union Park is likely to do so. Which of the aspirants to become CTU president will support the unionized charter movement and which will oppose it is another question. More important over the long term is the issue of whether unions and charters can work together to create something that works well for students and teachers, combining the best of both worlds. His first day of unemployment was July 10th. We were scrambling, looking for work and mostly feeling like everything would work itself out. We'd both find fantastic jobs and we'd avoid any sort of financial trouble. Though it was scary, we definitely had an expectation it would all work out. At least I did.As we know, things didn't quite go that way.... |
