An era comes to an end.  The cubs have traded oft maligned Center Fielder Felix Pie to the perennial dumping grounds, Baltimore.  What we get in return is Garret Olson.  He doesn't miss bats well.  Hopefully this is just another piece in the Peavy puzzle.  I can easily see Hendry flipping Olson and the Indians prospects for this man:Oh yeah, we got some guy named  Henry Williamson as well.

The Boston Red Sox did what they hadn't done in a long time...complete a three game sweep of an opponent. The game was a major league tying 544th straight Fenway Park sellout. The final score was Boston 5 Baltimore 4, and the Orioles are as hapless and helpless as they've been in a long, long time. The Birds were ahead of the Sox 4-0 through six innings before Boston came to life with a bang, actually a few bangs and two bings. Two runs in the seventh, two more in the eighth and the winning run in the ninth were all Boston needed to get out of town on a winning note. Dustin "Pedey" Pedroia had another inspired and productive day, going 3-4 with a HUGE home run in the seventh inning. Pedey's stats over the past few games are astounding. It was a Boston Red Sox slugfest Tuesday evening at Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts as the Red Sox overwhelmed the Baltimore Birds by a score of 14-2. And it was the numbers three and four Red Sox hitters that did most of the damage. Big Papi David Ortiz went 3 for 3 with 4 RBIs and the cleanup hitter (Youk out with back spasms) Dustin "Pedey" Pedroia had another monster night, going 3 for 5 with 5 huge RBIs.
