Orkut sent me a mailer with an invite to check out the new orkut. They have setup an orkut group for all those folks who want to try out the new orkut here. Official Orkut Themes
2008-05-28 15:20:00 Are you bored using the same old Orkut theme that whitish one combined with faint touch of blue.Then there is some good news for all Orkut addicts.They just introduced the coolest feature you're gonna see this summer. Orkut has officially launched themes for Orkut addicts. These themes are not yet live on majority of Orkut profiles.So some have to wait for some time to have those themes right on their Orkut Homepage.If you are interested in changing themes in yours Orkut profiles then Orkut follow the below guidelines !! First of all Login to yours Orkut profiles after that >> Click on Edit Profiles >> Click On Themes Tab as seen in below ImageSelect Themes of yours choice ,at present only 4 Themes are active . So you can only use 4 Themes in available 12 Themes.Note:These features is not yet activated in all profiles.Hopefully they will be within a weak or so.

Orkut introduces Themes
2008-05-28 09:54:00 A few Orkut users from India are reporting that they are getting a new option to change the theme of their profile and scrapbook pages. These themes are not javascript hacks or Orkut apps, they are official themes by Orkut. Only a limited number of users have access to this feature and you can choose between four different themes.I got a few screenshots from TechBuzz:Official announcement is yet to be heard on the Orkut Blog. They usually release new features within two weeks of testing them with a few users so most probably we'll get to see it soon.So what do you think, Orkut is trying all this to outrun Facebook? Hmm...

Orkut Launches Official Themes
2008-05-28 08:03:00 Orkut finally launches the theme changer for selected orkut users ( Few in number ). I am glad that I am one among them. Thanx to orkut that I'm always amoung the first to experience new features of orkut ( eg. HTML scarps & Applications were allowed 15 days before on my profile than my friends profile ) .
