2009-05-08 12:58:00 Well Summer is in the air for many of you, although it is just the beginning of Winter for me here in New Zealand....Grrrhhh!...and Brrrhhh! I just got to thinking today of how long it has been since I have done any blogging.....too long in fact. But I have needed some time for myself and some of my hobbies, and I have also just completed and extensive course over the past year in Medical Transcription. So I hope to be back to a more regular schedule now and look forward to doing a bit more blogging as well. Many thanks to so many of you who have faithfully kept up with the various RSS feeds on my Blog in my absence. I had seen him in his office just the day before, he performed a biopsy. A gazillion people have them done. We chatted, and he said he was leaving on a long awaited vacation that night. 2008-05-26 00:00:00 So I had a dialog with my buddy via text message last night in which I learned that he was visiting a bar that is notorious for frat-boy like rowdiness, cheap beer and loose women. I proceeded to send him a message that just read “FAIL” to show my disappointment in his choice. This morning I finally get a response that reads “You have no idea how much I fail. I’ll be by in a bit to show you.” So he shows up and I am greeted with this: I found out that he didn’t get into a fight, or anything of the sort. He just had an off night. Moral of the story? Don’t get drunk and fall into a wall.

Many employers pay lip service to 'no lift policies' but do they really provide the equipment?For instance, in my hospital there is supposed to be a special, slippery sheet placed under every patient to help scoot them up in bed. These sheets have to be laundered after each patient. We might be able to scrounge up five. We see 250 patients a day. You do the math.We are supposed to have a lift belt. I know I made some blunders in my life and I have stage frights but from my experience being put up on a stage back to be a commentator in Level Up! Live (2006), I know I spoke clearly and smoothly. It was an expected that I was asked to be a commentator on that day. Anyway, the Binibining Pilipinas 2008 felt like a joke. The question and answer portion wasn’t even televised, from what I heard. Then seeing this on youtube?! Whoever got this tape really took an effort to expose her. I feel bad about her and the judges made her the Binibining Pilipinas 2008. So she won the best swim suit and the long gown portion but I honestly think that they should put more criteria in the question and portion. The judges should be the one to blame. ...
