New Site: My Epikorean
2008-05-08 15:30:00 I’ve just been informed of a new Korean food site, called My Epikorean, that looks great and has innovative California-style Asian fusion dishes, mostly Korean inspired. Come on, who could go wrong with a Bulgogi Buffalo Burger? The site design is clean and easily navigable, and the pictures are gorgeous. And of course, the recipes sound ...

Latest Writing Gig - SEOUL Magazine
2007-07-07 10:19:00 I’ve lately started writing one-page food columns for SEOUL Magazine. It’s a pretty classy magazine compared to its competition and predecessors. So if you ...

Sesame Leaf Pesto from the Evil Jungle Prince
2007-04-22 02:44:00 Recipe here–> The Evil Jungle Prince has beat me to it! Sesame leaves (kkaenip ??) are similar in flavor to fennel. Going back to my original plans for the Food Journal, I wanted to experiment with substitutions, such as ...

Agloco : just tossing it out there.
2007-04-13 19:04:00 Steve Pavlina has a post about the company Agloco, which is a "pay while you websurf service" and is releasing a "toolbar" in a couple of days. One of the reasons he supports it:High potential upside with low risk. If Agloco goes bust and never pays anyone, you?ll have wasted a few minutes, and you can call me an idiot for telling you about it. But if the system works, and you get in today, you stand to gain a lot more than someone who joins a year from now, especially if you refer others and put time on your side. I trust Pavlina's instincts, so I signed-up. If you're so inclined, you can sign up, too. This is my affiliate link.

Treatment Options Are Out There
2007-04-07 05:47:00 One of our fellow bloggers had a blow this week when she got a call that everyone dreads. A call that someone close to her had died. While a call of this nature is never good to receive, it's the unexpected deaths that catch us by surprise that are the hardest to accept and get past. This blogger's friend had died of what everyone is suspecting was a drug overdose. If you know who I'm talking about then then you know she and her new husband opened their home up almost two years ago to this girl to help her break her habit. It's too bad she didn't know about or find a program like alcoholism treatment and drug addiction treatment from Stone Hawk Treatment Center. There Are a Lot of Real Estate Agents Out There?
2007-03-18 07:53:00 I'm not real sure what compelled me to look this up. Curiosity mostly. Maybe a warped desire to run pivot tables in Excel. Pivot tables are cool, in a geekish sort of way. So few nice homes out there - here is one
2007-03-14 02:38:00 I know the general public out there still has a notion that there are a lot of homes on the market in Reno. 2007-03-07 01:30:00 Received this e-mail from a previous contributor who in turn received this from some highly respectable friends from noted financial circles - "Yesterday sometime between 5:30 pm and 6:00pm (day light time) two men dressed in black jumped into my sister-in-law's car, threatened to shoot her, put her out of the vehicle and drove away the car. This occurred at Sheraton Mall by the exit, next to the Fed-ex vans."She was unhurt and is in much better shape today."The nerve of these guys is quite appalling, so I am just telling as many people as I can to exercise caution - be aware of your surroundings especially when driving alone and lock your doors - this may get catchy."Fellows take note too."What was very eerie is that in the process of fwd-ing this cyber-note, a user saw fit to not just add but testify and verify!"I would like to assure those of you are in doubt about the authenticity of this story that it is true. I arrived at Sheraton Centre around 5:30pm on Tuesday (February 27,...

wow SEO tools are vast out there
2007-02-13 12:25:01 Well I thought I knew a fair bit about SEO, and I am on a mission at a minute to see what I can do for these Marketing course trainers, and of course my own software company.I signed up to Google analytics, and webmasters tools and google base, and all other things I could think of to help me out, and I have now started to take a look at what Yahoo has to offer. It is pretty fantastic with its API. I am at present using it to write a testing tool for me where I can enter a search string and then go through the results to see what position the website I am interested in comes up at.I did see ready made tools to do this, but they tend to only go up to the first 50 results which isnt very good when you are starting out for a company and their results start at 350+.Anyway I will try and figure out what Yahoo has got to offer, and how it compares to Google tools, and finally I want to see what msn has to bring to the SEO table.I will write up my thoughts here as I get them.

2007-01-15 19:37:05 There are plenty of "experts" out there who advise -- if you're thinking of why you don't like your life, think about what your obituary would say. Like it? If not, contemplate another path. Every now and then that sentiment pops into my head and I just as quickly tamp it back down. No time to think about the inch or so of column copy my demise will generate when I'm 127 (you can see the level of my denial regarding my mortality). But I came face to face with my obituary this week and I'm here to confess that I didn't like it. As someone who used to practice law, I write a lot of articles about issues that face women attorneys. A friend of mine, who still works at the firm I started out with oh-so-many years ago, invited me to speak to their newly-formed monthly women's lunch forum about what I've learned from the research I've done when writing those pieces. So the host of the event introduces me and sums up my life in about 30 seconds -- this law school, that honor, this...

2007-01-15 14:39:03 Update: For all you Canadians out there, the Apple iPhone will be available through Rogers wireless in late 2007 or early 2008. No prices have been announced yet, but the phone will be available in two and three year contracts. Also a data plan must be purchased with the phone plan, (not cheap). Today Apple finally announced what we all knew was coming, the iPhone, and good god does it look good. The entire phone is touchscreen and it doubles as an iPod, but the downside to it is that upon release it will only come in 4GB and 8GB models. You can dial a number just by touching a name in your address book, you can place people on hold, as well as place them on speaker phone. The device is compatible with both Mac’s and PC’s which allows for easy synchronization on both platforms. Along with this great phone and iPod like device, it has a feature rich email client, and Safari built right in, allowing you to surf the web in style. The touch screen looks great and has ...

Using proprietary Ambisound technology and Smart Surround processing, it’s meant to replace an entire home theater speaker system with one speaker that’s about 3 feet long with an aluminum cabinet and glass front panel. It comes with a separate subwoofer for the deep bass. Link & Images : blog.scifi.com

Dealership Scams Out There
2007-01-03 00:54:00 Author : Gregory AshtonAre you thinking of buying a car but hesitant to approach your local car dealer because you are not sure about the processes of buying a car as well as wary of possible dealership scams? Do you feel that your knowledge about cars and getting great deals is not good enough and you want to learn more about this matter? Then reading these tips will enhance your understanding about dealership scams. The car dealer and his tradeTo have a proper understanding of car dealership scams, you must first have an idea of the car dealers themselves and how they go about their trade selling cars. First of all, the car dealer will not give you a price quotation as much as he possibly can. This is because the tendency of the buyer would be to go to another dealer and the other one will probably offer a lower price thus, the first dealer loses the buyer to the second dealer. To increase their chances of getting you to buy their car, they will try to make you commit to them befor...

Is the world lonely out there?
2006-12-02 16:04:06 Last evening, whilst surfing the net i discovered an adult site matching people of opposite sex, similar likings, etc.Nothing great about it except the following findings:The world is indeed lonely out there, with many young and middle-aged souls out there searching for love or sex. one may get horny at times but do we have to advertise my needs and wants that way. maybe, got to try one day (joking!).Tonight, whilst surfing the net, i unknowingly went to the same site - looking at the same postings. Wow, am i also another lonely soul out there looking for ...?! Scary, isn't it?Well, i guess we get lonely at times. It's only natural as no man is an island. So, i will definitely like to interact to some lonely soul out there, especially those from Singapore, but not necessary s** if there is any. chow!
