Don Imus - Give Mr. Imus A Break On PacMan Jones
2008-06-24 00:22:00
Ok. I like you totally rolled my eye and called my Mom with the latest news of radio personality Don Imus' latest racial slur. You know after the whole event with the Rutgers Women's Basketball Team and Don Imus referring to them as "Nappy Headed" Whatevers, then losing his job after a dramatic meeting with the classy members of that team, then returning, America was just waiting for Imus to explode with something.Today we got it. Sort of. This is the text of what Imus said from AOL Sports:When one of Imus's on-air partners, Warner Wolf, discussed Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones' legal troubles, Imus asked, "What color is he." When told that Jones is African-American, Imus said, "Well, there you go. Now we know."The full transcript is below.Wolf: "Defensive back Adam 'Pacman' Jones, recently signed by the Cowboys. Here's a guy suspended all of 2007 following a shooting in a Vegas night club."Imus: "Well, stuff happens. You're in a night club, for God's sake. What d...
Pacman Jones Reinstated in Dallas - Almost
2008-06-03 23:38:00
Adam "Pacman" Jones can join the Dallas Cowboys, but hasn't technically been unsuspended. He has been granted allowance to participate in off season workouts and practice. He could join the team as early as today.Commissioner Roger Goodell will decide by September 1st whether to fully end the suspension or not. If Jones can keep straight for the next few months, we should see him on the field this regular season.Jones played a total of 30 games for the Tennessee Titans. He accumulated a total of 115 tackles and 4 interceptions. He was valuable on special teams as well. He has recorded 4 punt return TDs.Dallas traded a fourth round pick in this years draft to acquire Pacman Jones. If he plays that investment should pay off. With the pick the Tennessee Titans chose wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins.

Pacman Jones Wants Deangelo Hall Money
2008-03-26 08:25:00
Adam “Pacman” Jones and his lawyer Manubir Arora are making the rounds in hopes of repairing Pacman’s image. Throwing parties and promising to make it rain would seem to be doing the opposite of that, but I could be wrong. There’s no need to watch all of this 9 1/2 minute video unless you’re interested in Pacman’s bowling skills. All you need to see/hear is from 1:40 to about 3:00. During that span Jones is read the news of Deangelo Hall’s seven year $70 million contract and says “I just can’t wait til I get reinstated. Congratulations to Deangelo Hall but I can’t wait.” Damn right he can’t wait. Have you ever seen 70 million dollars worth of rain? Jones goes on to say he’s better than Deangelo Hall, and he’s right, but how much money would you invest in Pacman if you were an NFL owner? I’d sign him but the contract would set the record for the most incentives and stipulations ever. Tags: Pacma...

By KEN RITTER, Associated Press WriterNovember 15, 2007LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A judge accepted a plea deal Thursday reducing felony charges against suspended NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones to a gross misdemeanor that will get him probation in return for his testimony about a strip club triple shooting. The Tennessee Titans cornerback did not appear before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Tony Abbatangelo, who accepted the written agreement and waived Jones' preliminary hearing on two felony coercion charges. Abbatangelo scheduled Jones to plead no contest Dec. 5 in state court to one charge of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct. Jones will be sentenced later to one year of probation, Clark County prosecutor Victoria Villegas said after a brief hearing. Two charges of coercion, a felony carrying a possible sentence of one to six years in prison, will be dropped. Why Pacman Jones Doesn’t Play Cricket
2007-09-21 06:52:00
It looks like Roger Goodell isn’t the only sports disciplinarian with a disdain for strip clubs. This week English cricket player Paul Collingwood was fined 1,000 pounds for visiting “a lap dancing bar” during a cricket tournament. The real bad news for Collingwood is that he can’t even say the nighttime entertainment helped him get ready for the next match. The following day against South Africahe recored a “first-ball duck”, something akin to repeatedly striking out with the bases loaded. Fortunately, Collingwood is extremely well versed in the athlete tradition of accepting blame while denying responsibility. “The fact is I made a mistake, that’s what it comes down to, and what I need to focus on now is a big game tomorrow [England play India] for us. “I was taken in a car with friends and taken to the bar and got there, had a beer and thought ‘I need to get out of this place’.” For now Collingwood’s...
Pacman Jones Allowed To Be At The Wrestling Match [Michael Vinciguerra]
2007-08-12 10:04:00
Adam "Pacman" Jones can appear at a wrestling show Sunday, with a couple of provisions: The suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback won't be allowed to touch or be touched, use or be hit by any object or anything else that could injure him. The Titans received a temporary restraining order Friday that prohibited Jones, who was suspended from the NFL for the 2007 season for violating the personal conduct policy, from even being present at a Total Nonstop Action Wrestling pay-per-view event. This is a step in the right direction. Since the Titans decided to suspend Jones for the entire year, at least allow the man to make a living. This agreement is fair. Allow Pacman Jones to be in the ring and let him do everything he can to put on the show he wanted without actually wrestling or getting hurt. After all, even though he was suspended, he is still the property of the Titans, who do not want one of their own attractions getting hurt. http://img68.imageshack.us/my.p-hp?image=amerlegend...

Pacman Jones: the air of respectability that pro wrestling desperately need
2007-08-07 16:19:00
Our man Dan V. comes through with another kickass photoshop– this one imagining what Pacman Jones’ wrestling debut on Thursday might look like. There have been rumblings that any wrestling on Pac’s part could violate his NFL contract. But Jones may figure that his bridges with the Titans are burned anyway, so he might as well cash a few checks before he moves into the crossbar hotel. We can only wait and see if Pac actually makes it rain at his matches. However, in doing so, he would be edging dangerously close to infringing on the greatest wrestling gimmick of all time. One thing wrestlers don’t tolerate in their business is gimmick thieves. And who can blame them– drug addicts, spouse abusers, habitual criminals and serial killers are one thing, but gimmick thievery is a serious offense. The man in a wheelchair because of Jones’ alleged lawlessness is named Tommy Urbanski. Apparently, Urbanski was once “enhancement talent” (think perennial losers like...

My World in Sports: Go Get Your Bulls Jersey

The Kobe Video I'm sure you've all heard about this video by now. I can't find on on the Internet otherwise I'd have it up on here but I've heard alot about it and Stefan found a sports talk show that features the audio. The video hasn't been released yet but click here to hear the audio. - You can fast forward through some of the banter to get to it- Kobe is pretty explicit in trashing teammate Andrew Bynum. Also he grabs quite a few headlines in saying "Go out and buy you Bulls jerseys". This is pretty interesting obviously there is just no way anymore that Kobe Returns to the Lakers. By now all his teammates hate him (most probably did before anyways). Kobe's no trade clause basically gives him complete and total power. Obviously getting Kobe would be absolutely huge for the Bulls. Honestly is there anyway that LA could possibly win on a trade like that? Bulls maybe they could get Butler, Wallace and Deng with a draftpick or some combination of that for Kobe. That would be...

Pacman Jones and Chris Henry Cartoon
2007-04-11 19:09:00
In honor of the recent suspensions of Pacman Jones and Chris Henry, I present you the most recent cartoon from BANG. Click Here for the Video If you haven't checked out the BANG Cartoons yet, do so. They're hit or miss but some are pretty hilarious, and a good number of them (like here for instance) are Redskins related, as the cartoons' author is a Redskins fan and Extreme Skins regular. And that is how Hogs Haven introduces decisive subjects that may arouse intense debate among reader(s). Rather than saying "how do you feel about Pacman Jones and Chris Henry being suspended?" I post a video of Pacman (as a Batman parody) slapping and spitting on cartoon strippers. I'm fair and balanced like that. But seriously, please post your views in the comments section. I have my own thoughts on it, though I'm far more interested in your take.
