The Panamera will begin production in April 2009. According to AutoTelegraaf, the road-going Panamera will bow at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2009, with production beginning a month later. Porsche will have the capacity to build 26,000 Panameras a year, but will cap production at 20,000 units annually. In case you didn't know, the 2010 Panamera is a four-door Porsche. It is pretty interesting that Porsche has decided to come out with this new design and in my opinion, I think they're trying to go after the BMW 6-series. I know that many of you will argue that the 6-series is a different car, but from the shape and size, it certainly seems like Porsche is looking to offer their fans a new challenge. No pricing information is available at this time, and all we know is that the Panamera will be a 2010 model, but it's unknown if it will be released at the end of 2009 or beginning of the following year. I'm really curious to see what you think about this model and also if you see any other competitor for the Panamera.

Now that we can finally see the car's true sheetmetal, we can make out the 911-esque side window arc, and the large, elongated headlights that look a bit like those from the 996-era 911s, rather than the more oval lights in the current 911. We can also make out equally large taillights that stretch around to the car's side. A hatchback-style trunk lid like that on the Cayman is very obvious in these photos, despite Porsche's weak efforts to disguise it.
