2008-05-23 16:31:00 You know how some people need to be hit to snap them back into reality? Paranoia Agent takes it literally and uses a giddy kid with a bent gold bat to do the job. The individual stories are a wonder to behold as each story takes a dim view of humanity while maintaining a biting sense of humor. I truly enjoy this anime. The humor in this anime is wonderful. The first half of Paranoia Agent I thought is technically much better then the second half but the second half of the anime is far more creative and sardonic in its story. Each episode takes a serious situation like bullying, explores it, and then combines it with a wit I have not seen in an anime. Secondly the social message the anime is trying to deliver isn’t lost. For instance the boy who is getting bullied is running for school president. His election poster becomes vandalized. The graffiti, which is very amusing to look at, are done by the students but you hear in the background the source of their inspirations…...

Teri discovered this when she was checking my car for explosives.So it appears the anonymous death threat was not an idle threat after all. Even though the written threat was bush league at best and obviously the work of a hack. It certainly narrows the list of suspects. Can't be anyone in management, since presentation skills are a critical competency at this company for managers... I doubt a husband or a boyfriend could get to my desk with all the security in this building... Could it really be someone in my User Pool? Blair is the mostly likely suspect. 2007-10-26 01:47:00 I get the feeling someone doesn't like me. I found a note on my desk today after lunch which read: "I'm going to kill you." Sure, my first inclination might be to assume this is someone's idea of a joke. But the pen strokes were literally scratched into the paper as if the person writing imagined the paper was my face. The writing style did not scream a playful tone, but rather just screamed in a very high pitch. There are several reasons this note disturbs me. Not because someone wants to kill me, because I've expected this day to come for a long time now. But mainly because the writer has absolutely no sense of creativity. If you're going to take the time to write me a note revealing your intent to kill me, at least be somewhat creative by giving me a hint as to how, when, and/or why--and maybe even who. 2007-09-28 21:36:00 OK so with my leave coming up just right around the corner, I figured I would talk about a phenominon of paranoia that seems to go around right before people get ready to head home on leave. Its something that I always laughed about, and even though I know its wrong, slightly played on peoples fear during this time! I know, Im a horrible person, but I guess Karma is a bitch and has come to stake its claim on me.Basically heres the deal. Right before people are about to go on leave they try everything they possibly can to get out of heading outside the wire. The reason for this is due to a variation of short timers paranoia. They are worried that something might happen right before they are getting ready to head home.
