I ran across this article and thought it was quite interesting. You can read the article here, but make sure you look at the picture. Hmmm... I wonder if this could be the Pope waving from his final destination? Let me know what you think!!! Luke 16:23a "And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments..." Luke 16:24 "And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame." Luke 16:27-28 "Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment."Here is the first part of the article:This fiery figure is being hailed as Pope John Paul II making an appearance beyond the grave. Washington Post Asks Ron Paul if He's Too Angry to be President
2007-10-12 09:13:00
Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul said today that he could see no possible reason to ever launch military action or initiate a war, vowing instead to battle efforts he said are undermining the individual liberties of people in America. In an interview with Washingtonpost.com's PostTalk program, the Texas congressman said he could see "no reason" to justify military action if he were elected president. He compared the United States to a schoolyard bully and said the country has no reason to flex its muscles overseas. "There's nobody in this world that could possibly attack us today," he said in the interview. "I mean, we could defend this country with a few good submarines. If anybody dared touch us we could wipe any country off of the face of the earth within hours. And here we are, so intimidated and so insecure and we're acting like such bullies that we have to attack third-world nations that have no military and have no weapon." Paul has been intensely opposed to ...

Now ABC Affiliate WMUR TV Neglects to Cover Ron Paul in New Hampshire
2007-10-01 08:23:00
The Free Market News Network reports that WMUR neglected to cover Ron Paul at his "Family Day" rally in Manchester, New Hampshire this past weekend. WMUR is a state-wide television operation, with headquarters in Manchester. What struck me most about this was not the lack of coverage itself - infuriating and undemocratic - but the fact that WMUR is ... an ABC affiliate!Just this past Friday, at the lecture I delivered to my "Intro to Communication and Media Studies" class at Fordham University (we'll have the video up on YouTube soon), I detailed a series of outrageous ABC misreportings of Ron Paul since May - ranging from leaving him out of poll results to using photography to make his supporters seem far fewer at a rally in Iowa than they in fact were. But I concluded, in an effort to be fair, that ABC seems to have been improving in the accuracy of its reporting lately, with Fox making the worst transgressions. But here we are, once again, with a national ABC television affiliat...

Ron Paul Introduces Measure in the House to Empower Citizens Regarding the
2007-09-17 18:34:00
Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis famously said ?Sunlight is the best disinfectant.? Indeed some of the most malignant growth of our government has been nurtured under a cover of darkness. Literally, in the dark hours of the morning at the end of the year, it has become tradition for the Appropriations committee to rush the famous omnibus bill to the floor for a vote, mere hours after it is introduced. The vote took place at 4 am the last time an omnibus spending bill was before us. We had all of 4 hours to deliberate on almost 1400 pages of important legislation. My colleagues somehow found this acceptable, however, and the bill passed 212-206. The bill for the Expansion of the State Children?s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) was also rushed to the floor with little time to examine the lengthy text of the legislation. If approved by the Senate this measure would increase taxes by an additional $53.8 billion over 5 years and further extend the federal government?s reach...

Geeks Turn Out for Ron Paul in Silicon Valley Liberal Stronghold
2007-09-15 11:23:00
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul was given a warm reception in this liberal stronghold Thursday as Silicon Valley professionals turned out to support his long-shot campaign. At a fundraiser at San Francisco's swanky Palace Hotel, a 40-odd group of Ron Paul supporters paid $500 a head to have breakfast with "Dr. Paul," as they call him. Outside, a large group of supporters chanted their support. Cars honked, and passers-by joined in the chanting. "Ron Paul!" they shouted. "Freedom!" Inside, supporters could hear the passionate chants from the street through the thick hotel windows as the Texas congressman ended his morning speech. A polite chuckle rumbled through the room. The breakfast attendees and the supporters on the street were mostly young white men who appeared to be white-collar professionals. Several of those interviewed by Wired News worked in the technology business. As campaign finance records show and the blogosphere has noted, a substantial base of...

Wall Street Journal: Ron Paul is a Candidate The GOP Must Take Seriously
2007-09-08 00:48:00
This week the Republican candidates for the presidency tried to make it new again. Summer's over, autumn's here, they're relaunching. I think they pretty much succeeded. Their debate Wednesday night had sparks and fire. And a new candidate moved in. So while Barack Obama struggles with a big question of his candidacy--how to draw deep blood from Hillary Clinton without fatally endangering his future in the party and earning the enmity of its power brokers; and Mrs. Clinton figures out each day how to slow him and stop him but not right now squish him like a bug, which would highlight a reputation for ruthlessness and embitter a portion of the base--a look at the Republicans in what was a Republican week. The debate was full of fireworks about Iraq, about its essentials--the rightness of the endeavor, and what should rightly be done now. From the libertarian Ron Paul a blunt argument against the war: We never should have gone in and we should get out. "The people who say there...
Ron Paul is the Best Candidate GOP Can Choose
2007-09-07 23:02:00
Many Americans are curious about a Texas GOP candidate named Ronald Ernest Paul, who is raising a few eyebrows among a wide section of the voting populace. I've heard republicans refer to Ron Paul as a breath of fresh air, and I've had democrats mention the candidate in a good light, even suggesting a party switch in order to help elect him. Then there is all of the excitement from the GOP debates that he generated, with his unbridled statements about the war in Iraq. A number of people have written, asking if I am planning to write a story about this candidate. In researching Ron Paul, I was hoping to find qualities that would make this man stand out as something truly different, and that is exactly what I found. Christian Values Unfortunately, I think that in the end Ron Paul will cause many people to view his position with a measured degree of disappointment. He is far from the average candidate, a real horse of a different color. Yet perhaps he is the best man the GOP cou...
Ron Paul is such an asshole

He’s always on about why believe someone that lied again and again? Like that question really means anything. Then he’s all constitution this, and constitution that, like a pot smokin communist hippie freak. But what pisses me off most is the way he got a bunch of left wing populist groups to infiltrate the Republocrat debates and cheer his spew about OH!… ‘let the people that represent the people take a role in shaping foreign policy’ psycho babble. Why the hell does he always answer ‘terrorism’ questions by pointing to the source of terrorism like some kind of smart ass? RON PAUL IS WRONG FOR AMERICA AND ABSOLUTELY CRAZY
2007-09-02 23:13:00
The Ron Paul For President Campaign Gets Another Blow Today: Congressman Ron Paul Is Crazy And Can't Be Trusted......  We have been told here at Black Dog that: The Congressman has already won the GOP race. That the New World Order controlling the media is hiding this fact...It seems perhaps that Ron Paul too believes this crap. As mentioned in a previous article, he voted against sanctioning Iran for it's genocidal promises to Israel. Perhaps he believes as this commentator below, that Iran is peaceful, and that President Ahmadinejad didn't say that...Perhaps he too is a New World Order Conspiracy freak. If so, he not only can't be president, but I hope that he is voted out of office, or committed as soon as possible.... "The way that the Jewish and Christian Zionist s try to create a camaraderie by demonizing Iran and muslims in general is sick. It's as if by hating an outside group, they can feel closer to each other." "In international c...
Associated Press: Underdog Ron Paul Inspires Political Passion
2007-09-02 04:56:00
Passengers on a plane leaving New York could see three words in 4-foot block letters painted on an East Village rooftop terrace as they ascended: GOOGLE RON PAUL. The entreaty to search the Internet for news of the Republican congressman from rural Texas is one of the more visible signs of enthusiasm from a do-it-yourself base of Web fans. Their support doesn't show up in public opinion polls, but it's unmatched among presidential candidates in its passion. On their own, the fans have developed a Ron Paul Revolution logo, marketing the idea through YouTube. Message boards and Web sites debate his virtues. The Web fans for Paul's anti-establishment campaign run away with online polls and blanket Web sites with caps-locked, exclamation-point endorsements of the contrarian Republican, even though he measures no more than 2 percent in most national opinion polls. The supporters have an entrepreneurial drive and get their political news from Internet sources outside the mainstream ...
Boston Globe: Ron Paul is the Ralph Nader of the right
2007-09-01 16:52:00
SO FAR IN Campaign 2008, the one contender who seems to have generated the most grassroots excitement isn't really a contender at all. Ron Paul, the Republican congressman from Texas, doesn't have much chance of winning. When the mainstream media have noticed Paul at all, they have largely treated him as a curiosity or even a nuisance: After the first Republican debate in May, a Washington Post editorial suggested that the debates would be much better if they weren't "cluttered" by such nobodies. Perhaps the most media notice he attracted was when, in the second debate, he seemed to suggest that American foreign policy was responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks. This comment quickly became an opportunity for patriotic point-scoring by Rudy Giuliani, and led some GOP operatives to call for Paul's exclusion from future debates. Yet Paul has a following that no other candidate can match in sheer dedication. His impressive performance in Internet polls has been supplemented with two...
Web may help put Rep. Paul in the running for president
2007-08-23 18:15:00
So what is newsworthy these days? What becomes news and what does not? Why did we hear what Lindsay Lohan has been up to but not about which presidential candidate had the most donations from members of the Army, Navy and Air Force, along with the veterans? We are in wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and in a general war on "terror." I would have thought which presidential candidates are getting support from the men and women making the sacrifices would have been more newsworthy than Lohan.

Newspaper Coverage of Ron Paul in Iowa: B+
2007-08-15 18:31:00
Newspapers have nothing like the clout they once had - 24/7 cable news and even more so the Internet have gobbled up the newspapers' lunch. But they still show up on lots of breakfast tables and commuter trains, not to mention hotel rooms, and they're still read by millions of people. So, in the view of the shabby treatment Ron Paul has received by TV news operations such as ABC, I thought it would be a good idea to take a glance at how newspapers reported the results of the Iowa Straw Poll earlier this week - in particular, were they accurate and complete in their coverage, with explicit inclusion of the fact that Ron Paul came in an impressive fifth, or halfway up the ladder. The newspaper coverage was good-to-mixed.Ron Paul was not only mentioned in this USA Today article, but a picture of him giving autographs to supporters was at the top of the story. The New York Times did the right thing in its article about the results of the Iowa Straw Poll, especially with this background...
Terrorist Attacks: Ron Paul Is Right on Blowback
2007-08-15 16:46:00
When Ron Paul brought up the subject of blowback being a contributing cause for the terrorist attacks on the United States, he quickly placed himself at odds with the rest of the Republican party especially those seeking the party?s nomination in the presidential primary. However, examining the facts about the blowback from the United States? involvement in other countries? politics and policies, it cannot be disputed that blowback is part of the problem. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, the United States has assumed the self-appointed role of global guardian and some countries are beginning to take offense at their intrusion. Osama Bin Laden did not say they attack the country because of its riches, he said they attacked the country because of the U.S. presence in Saudi Arabia, its support of the Israeli?s push for more land acquisition and the way the U.S. treats many Arab and Islamic nations.

Ron Paul is Reviving Grassroots Politics
2007-08-13 02:40:00
It is truly extraordinary: Ron Paul?s campaign stops are attracting crowds that would make the other Republicans envious. His supporters make homemade T-shirts, flyers, yard signs, and more. Ron Paul fans drive hundreds of miles to hear their candidate speak without giving the matter a second thought. On the Internet he wins poll after poll ? provoking accusations that Paul supporters are spamming them. Leaving aside the difficulty of doing such a thing (in some polls) or managing to do it without being detected (in others), this objection misses the point. Check out the raw numbers rather than the percentages the next time you see one of these polls. The real question, it seems to me, isn?t why Ron Paul gets thousands of votes, but why only a few hundred people can be bothered to turn on their computers and make a single click on behalf of the clones in the race.

Ron Paul Interview on YouTube.com

Ron Paul sits down with the political director of YouTube.com for an interview with video questions from viewers. Ron Paul has the most subscribers of any Republican candidate on YouTube.com and Ron Paul is an extremely popular search name on the internet. The Congressman from Texas is popular perhaps because of his stance on the Iraq war and his extreme small government views. Paul voted against going into Iraq and is the only Republican presidential candidates who thinks that ?we should just come home? from Iraq. Paul has said previously that he would get rid of the I.R.S. and the federal income tax. In this video he answers a question from a viewer who asked what he would replace it with. Paul also talks about the effects of the internet on the campaign and how it is getting young Americans involved. It is an interesting video which is why I wanted to bring it to your attention. Ron Paul is President of the Internet, Not the USA…Yet
2007-08-06 14:59:00
Ron Paul is a Republican congressman and a candidate for US President, if you didn’t know already. Ron Paul enjoys a good amount of support online and a number of people voice their support for Ron Paul in comments here at Product Reviews, but that’s is not going to get Ron Paul elected. Ron Paul needs votes, support outside of the internet and at the moment, he doesn’t have enough to run for President. Ron Paul has less than 2% of the vote among Republican candidates, and he was unceremoniously excluded from an Iowa debate in June organized by a tax watchdog group that happens to share his political views. Ron Paul has over 160,000 mentions on Digg.com, which is more that the next four most popular candidates put together. According to Alexa.com, Ron Paul’s website has a narrow lead over the Democratic candidates and is way ahead of his fellow Republicans. On Technorati, “Ron Paul” is the most searched term, beating “iPhone” and “Paris Hilton”. ...

Vatican wonders - did late Pope John Paul II save Kubica?
2007-06-29 20:07:00
Polish-born Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica who emerged unhurt from a spectacular crash June 10, may be called by the Vatican to testify to alleged miracles performed by the late Polish- born Pope John Paul II, Poland's PAP news agency reported Thursday. Kubica always races in a helmet emblazoned with the late pope's name and was wearing just such a helmet when his car spun out of control and crashed at the Canadian Grand Prix June 10. Few onlookers thought he had survived. But race car experts say special cockpit technology called 'the Hans system' enabled the BMW-Sauber driver to escape with his life from the spectacular 230 kilometres per hour crash in Montreal. WHY RON PAUL IS DISQUALIFIED
2007-06-15 13:51:00
Paul actually blames American interventionism in the Middle East for our problems with Islamo-fascism and the attacks of Sept. 11. A Vote For Ron Paul Is A Vote For Racist Nazis

I don't normally take time out to cover those crazy conspiracy idiots who believe in the constitution - for Christs sake it's just a old yellowing piece of paper you fools!Seems from reading the internet that they are all hatching a plot to vote for Ron Paul, some washed up old libertarian (for that read Neo-Nazi) from Texas. Some of Ron Paul's comments have frightened me, and of course made me laugh. For instance he stated he wants to scrap The Federal Reserve!! Is he stupid? You can't just scrap a government-owned bank!!! I am really guessing he would just give it a different name to hide the fact that it is government owned and pretend it is private.Actually part of me wants him to scrap it, and take it into private hands because then people like me would be able to own stakes in it and get even richer - and of course if that ever happened we'd have given those conspiracy freaks more ammo and they'd all shouting about how the Jews control the worlds money. That might ...
