He was born to two Brits, his mother a manager at a television station and his father worked for the airlines.Paul graduated from University of Kansas with a theater degree and continued his theater studies in LA and London. In 1992 he got his first TV role on 'Sisters', where he played Ashley Judds boyfriend. He stayed on the show till 1995, when he got the part of Alecia Silverstone's poli-brother in "Clueless".
