Peering in to the future

Ross O?Brien, of VON magazine has written a good, a very good article on peering. Why we peer, how we peer and at the end hopes that the industry will squash its collective competitive fears and realize that the future depends on a bigger, Metcalfe-ian worldview on network connectivity, and peering plays a central part in that. And as I am Peering down Springs Blouse...
2007-07-10 00:21:00
Why will I continue to search for meaning in a seemingly meaningless universe? Why must I reject those beautiful bouts of chaos? They hit me like pleasant strokes, bubbles in the brain-at the park last summer they floated through that cramped air and sun streaked sky. Sitting in the tub I am four and my mother?s blowing bubbles over my head and they stick to the white tile walls and the water is getting cold and the bath is full of mountains of white that keep popping and a hair floats by and I get scared. When the water is too chilly for me to take and the heater in the basement is already dead from exhaustion mother fills a pot on the stove. Pouring it over my toes I know she loves me. But then it was summer again and for some odd reason music sounded better then it ever had before. Something in the air had changed and what more than that, Spring had crept out from 45 degrees of rain into a stuffy car and suddenly its 63? at the city airport. And that damn it all to hell Apr...

Peering Through The Smoke
2007-06-26 07:13:00
No matter where one lives, no matter how perfect a place may appear, there is always something that you'd just rather not have to deal with. Always some something that mars what would otherwise be a utopia. In some places it's tornadoes. I lived in Denton, Texas for a few years and I can attest that tornadoes are terribly unnerving. Especially when they come during the night time when you can't see them but you can hear them.I was born and raised in Houston and went through several hurricanes. I never thought too much about them but after what happened to New Orleans I now have a real respect for them.Other locations have floods, or dust storms, or danger from volcanic activity. So you see, it's always something.I currently live in a place that offers not one but two big challenges to a person's continuing sanity. One is earthquakes. I've been in a pretty strong quake and I can tell anyone who hasn't had the experience, it is not a good feeling to be shaken out of your bed in ...

Wikinomics: Being open, peering, sharing and acting globally
2007-05-23 19:41:00
Recently I finished reading the book Wikinomics. I wondered whether it is just another buzzword or if it contributes to the discussion of how the Internet changes our world.
