The blast happened in the Musafir CD Centre located in the basement of a busy shopping centre in the city, police and local shopkeepers said. The roof of the shop collapsed in the bombing, Peshawar police chief Abdul Majeed Marwat said.A doctor at a nearby hospital said 20 people were injured, five of them seriously. "No one has died," doctor Ruhul Amin said.The bomb had apparently been placed in a water cooler inside the shop, witnesses said. 36 members of NWFP Assembly tender resignations
2007-10-05 15:58:00 CNews PESHAWAR: Thirty-six MPAs of Jamaat Islami (JI), Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Awami National Party (ANP) have resigned from the NWFP Assembly today.The NWFP law minister said that the MPAs of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (F) would not submit resignations as the Assembly would be dissolved on October 8.At the meeting of the NWEP Assembly held in Peshawar, 24 MPAs from Jamaat Islami, eight from ANP and four from PML (N) submitted their resignations.
