The ban will also apply to plant products from third countries accompanied by phytosanitary certificates issued by the National Quarantine and Plant Protection Organisation of India, a Rosselkhoznadzor statement said. A Rosselkhoznadzor spokesman said the ban would apply in particular to bulk tea, coffee, rice and tobacco, but it would not affect these products packaged for the retail trade, as they were outside the watchdog's jurisdiction.
