2008-08-24 06:35:00 Just thought I'd catch you up on stray Rottweiler central. There's good news and bad news. Bad news first, I guess. We were seriously considering keeping him. He's a great dog, friendly and very playful, has never been aggressive in any way, just a big, "I'm so happy to be here" kinda guy. Unfortunately, his enthusiasm killed our elderly cat. Or, at least we think it did. Both big dog and Oliver (the cat) roamed the side yard of our house near the kitchen door, our main entrance. We were going to take big guy to the vet to get him checked out before putting him in the back with the other dogs, so he stayed on the front porch or on the side of the house. We've been watching him very, very carefully and he never bothered Ollie at all except for checking him out by sniffing, and a few half hearted attempts to get him to play.
