2008-06-01 21:39:00 SEGUNDO PERIODO 1926-1973Completamos ahora la serie de los autorretratos de Picasso. En este segundo de los periodos en los que (arbitrariamente) hemos dividido su obra el autor recurrió al autorretrato con mucha menor frecuencia. Tal vez su fama creciente y sus múltiples centros de interés sean los responsables de este hecho, aunque no debemos tampoco perder de vista la idea de Picasso de que el autorretrato era, en algún sentido, un aprendizaje.. Autorretratos de 1940..Quizás, encontrándose ya en la plena madurez, el artista no creyó necesario ahondar más en el análsis de su propia personalidad. 2008-05-28 19:40:00 PRIMER PERIODO: 1896-1925Quizás el autorretrato sea uno de los temas más difíciles a los que ha de enfrentarse un artista, sobre todo cuando éste trata de dejar plasmado en la obra no sólo sus rasgos físicos, sino también algunos aspectos de su propia personalidad. Como es obvio, el autor se conoce a sí mismo mejor que a ninguno de sus modelos y mostrar a los demás su propia imagen (tal como él mismo se ve) es siempre un compromiso. Sin embargo, es bien sabido que la mayor parte de los grandes artistas (con escasas excepciones, como Velázquez, quien recurrió poco a este tema) ha abordado numerosas veces este reto, aunque claro está que por motivos bien distintos. 2008-03-25 09:50:00 Before I was a mom, I used to go to bed late. Or early but I'd read until late. I could sleep until noon without feeling I'd lost a day. I had to set my alarm clock to get out of bed in the morning. Although I do not fall into the category of an early riser, I do not have a problem to get out of bed when the thing buzzes. I do not understand the concept of the snooze button. I prefer to set the alarm at the correct time and then get up. At least those 10 minutes of snooze are spent in deep sleep and not dozing.When I became a mom, the whole concept of time changed. There was no more ME time. Time was spent looking after a baby and making sure its every wish was catered for immediately. No alarm clock was used in the first months.
