Kalesa Grill and the Pinoy Dream Academy
2007-07-22 05:59:00 On Friday, Maricel, Holly, JR and I went to hang out. We decided to go to the "meet 'n greet" at the Kalesa Grill on Lincoln and Harbor (more like Lemon) and meet Yeng Constantino, Jay-R Siaboc, RJ Jimenez, Luis Manzano, and Ronnie Liang. It was cool. There wasn't a BIG mob there, so it was more chill. There were probably about 20 people when we got there. It was relaxing. We got to talk to them like actual real people, instead of all the "star treatment" stuff. Sometimes celebrities in the United States think they're "too good". At this place, all the Filipino celebrities were very nice and appreciative. Yeng seemed very respectful with her "po"s. I like her. I guess I was wrong about what impression I got from her from unreliable sources. When we first walked in, I just saw some girl in green asking some little girl for her autograph. I then realized that it was Yeng Constantino. She is A LOT smaller than how she looks in her video. But she's very CUTE and NICE....

Pinoy Dream Academy Scholars, removed from ASAP 07

Irish Fullerton, Panky Trinidad, Chad Peralta and Jay-R Siaboc will be no longer part of ASAP 07.This is due to a lot of violations they did especially during their US concerts. They gave the promoters/producers headaches- from drinking alcoholic beverages, to being unruly to their fans, to room swapping with co-scholars.Dream Big Productions want to teach them a lesson. Rumors are coming out that the management already released these four scholars.Some sources also confirmed the intimate relationships happening between Panky and Chad, & Irish and Jay-R.Only Yeng Constantion and Ronnie Liang will stay in ASAP 07 for they are the only scholars who behaved during their entire stint in US.
Philippine Idol vs. Pinoy Dream Academy
2006-12-02 15:28:03 Yesterday, the Philippine Idol premiered in ABC-5 for the first time. The show exceeded my expectations. I thought that it would be a boring one, but I was wrong at all. It was interesting to watch the people who auditioned and the judges namely Pilita Corales, Ryan Cayabyab and Francis Magalona with host Ryan Agoncillo.The show is really interesting because the judges' reaction on every single person who enters the audition room is different. It may be shocking, emotional, elating or just normal.The lucky persons who auditioned were jumping, crying and even shouting. But, if there are lucky ones, there are also unlucky... Tears filled up the lobby of the audition room with others who prove themselves with strong fighting spirit.Actually, I am definitely disappointed with ABS-CBN's decision that Pinoy Dream Academy(PDA) be shown on August 28, 2006. I was expecting that PDA and Pinoy Big Brother Season 2(it will be shown this March 2007) be shown together in primetime to beat the r...

PDA, as said to be competing with the Philippine Idol of ABC- 5, will showcase the competition between 16 talented contestants or students on many fronts, including singing prowess, song-writing ability, dancing and personality. At the end of the journey, one student will emerge from the academy as the ultimate total performer. The show will be hosted by BETTINA CARLOS, JC CUADRADO and SITTI NAVARRO.
