I took that picture from inside my car while I was waiting for the light to turn green. It’s a shot of Katipunan Ave. without the usual traffic. The man walking on the island (you can only see his back) was selling Philippine flags in different sizes. I don’t know if it’s the fact that ...

Litratong Pinoy #5 - Hangin (Wind)
2008-05-29 06:13:00
Translation:These are wind chimes from Japan. I took this photo two years ago when I was in the Asakusa area of Tokyo. Everywhe...

Twelve hours before American Idol crowned David Cook as its seventh-season winner, Pinoy Idol formally introduced to the entertainment press its Top 24?12 men and 12 women?last night, May 21, at Teatrino in Promenade, Greenhills. And based on what the entertainment press saw and heard last night?all of the 24 Idol hopefuls performed for the first time before a live audience?most agree that the judges did a very good job in choosing who will compete to become the first Pinoy Idol. This group has very diverse musical talents?from ballad to pop to R&B to rock to jazz to blues to standards?that will make the show exciting. Ten of them are professional singers while the remaining contestants are raw and undiscovered. The age of the contestants range from 16 to 28.The 12 ladies who ma...
Litratong Pinoy #4: Tubig (Water)
2008-05-22 05:22:00
*Map from Wikipedia.

Litratong Pinoy #3: Nag-aapoy
2008-05-15 08:19:00

No More Excuses Pinoy, Take Part in the Boom of Internet Business
2008-05-12 11:26:00
According to Russ Alfonso in his interview with Entrepreneur.com.ph, “Internet usage is expected to grow 23 percent annually to reach 21.5 million by [the end] of 2008. Filipino Internet users on average spend 2.3 hours per day checking e-mail, 1.6 hours on online community activities, 2.7 hours on instant messaging, and 3 hours on other Internet activities. Forty-eight percent of Internet users are within 20 to 28 years old and 44 percent are 30-40 years old.” So, what does this figures tells us? It tells us that with the continuous increasing number of internet users, internet business will also continue to rise. And if you noticed, it’s pretty obvious with the constant growth of establishments offering free WiFi access, the ever growing lists of online social networking sites anfd the growing number of Pinoy bloggers jumping in the field of making money online. read the rest of the article here.
Pinoy Idol
2008-05-08 05:00:00
I finally got to see Pinoy Idol yesterday on my home from the 4th Philippine Blog Summit. After GMA 7 acquired the rights of Idol from ABC 5, Pinoy Idol has started airing auditions this month. Just yesterday, they showed the audition from Manila at the SMX Exchange at the SM Mall of Asia. Compared to ABC 5’s Philippine Idol, I can say Pinoy Idol is much better. There’s something with GMA that made this competition more appealing. I guess it has something to do with more exposure and advertising. ABC made a gamble before when they acquired the franchise to Philippine Idol. They should have started building up their channel before acquiring foreign talent shows. Philippine Idol is too big for their channel. I just pity the Philippine Idol winner Mao Marcelo for being treated this way by GMA 7. Pinoy Bloggers And Their Stupid Crab Mentality
2008-05-07 07:13:00
For Filipinos, crab mentality describes a way of thinking best described by the phrase….“if i can’t have it, neither can you”. It’s a metaphor referring to crabs in a bucket in which, one of them struggles to get to the top but instead is being pulled down by other crabs that are also trying to get to the top. Now, some may think crab mentality is normal as it implies healthy competition between people. Which is in fact, completely normal. But in more ways than one, it is more destructive than normal, especially if you unintentionally outdo another at the other’s expense. A sad reality it is, as it shows lack of unity among us Pinoys. I, myself have experienced being ignored and denied by a fellow Pinoy blogger. You know, starting out as a newbie in the blogosphere is a struggle and one of the first few things you wanted to accomplish is gain new friends. One day I was dropping Entrecard and I discovered this Pinoy blogger who is also in the fie...

Pinoy What’s Holding You Back from Making Money?
2008-05-05 13:13:00
According to my own observation, Pinoys are the hardest ones to convince that they can make money online. My free advertisement over at Sulit.com.ph bear witness to that. If you look at the comments posted by other members about my PTC ad, you will notice that their question are mostly in this sense, “Do you really earn money from that?” I somehow get tired of saying “Yes.” Although most of my referrals from Dailyclicks came from Sulit, only 3 out of 20 of them are active clickers. I also noticed that the ones who have the urge to ask a lot of questions about the possibilities of earning money online are the ones who are most likely to quit clicking early on. The answer on why they quit too early, is maybe because they want to earn quick money, so the idea of clicking for 1 cent doesn’t fancy their interest. Their usual complain is – the earning is too low and it’s so hard to get referrals. While the ones who don’t ask too much question an...

Pinoy Boxers Repel Invasion!
2008-04-29 22:45:00
Well, I know that this topic is late by a few weeks but I would like to blog about it anyway because it's a significant victory for Pinoy boxing. I am pretty busy lately so I was unable to post on this when it was fresh. This blog has now achieve Google's PR 4 so I'm now motivated to make a post.Anyway, in the early part of this month, Pinoy boxing champions and champions displayed their pugilistic prowess against challengers from all corners of the world. The promotion was aptly named "Invasion: Philippines versus the World" to emphasize that our boxers were defending their belts and our country's honor against fighters from Uruguay, Mexico, Thailand, Indonesia and Korea. As you probably know, the invasion turned into a massacre when our boxers defeated their opponents in impressive fashion. Ciso Morales stopped Korean boxer Yoo Shin Kim on the fifth round. Morales' performance may have earned him a fight in the US.AJ Banal performed very well when he scored a technical knock...

Backlink Builder: Pinoy Blogs With CommentLuv Enabled
2008-04-29 11:55:00
If you are looking for pinoy blogs that sport the commentluv plug-in, look no further. I have listed below some of these blogs for your convenience. My criteria for including blogs here is of course, they're pinoy blogs, they're current, and they have the commentluv plug-in installed. I hope that when they see their blogs here, they would be moved to linking mine as well (I wish). To the uninitiated, commenting on blogs with commentluv plug-ins is one of the easiest way to build backlinks for your blogs. Backlinks (in case you do not know yet) boost your rankings, higher rankings significantly improves your paid post opportunities, paid post opportunities lead to more money, and of course more money leads you to the dark side of the force. Kidding. But seriously, if you are thinking of improving your traffic via a commenting strategy, then you might as well hit two birds with one stone by commenting on blogs with the commentluv plug-in enabled. You not only fulfill your goal of ...

Pinoy Idol Visayas Auditions

Pinoy Idol Visayas Auditions. The most remarkable in this episode is Annie Rose Britania, 18 from Bacolod City a blind girl who sang "And I am Telling You" but sadly didn't make it to Manila! The girl told stories that she's being discriminated on other contest she has join, unfortunately she experienced the same in Pinoy Idol. Ogie Alcasid voted 'yes' Jolina Magdangal who even cried while she's singing, voted 'no' with a lame reason. Wyngard Tracy voted 'no' and said "Baka you need some more training" duh, as if he can sing. LOLWho can forgot Glenn Genosa from Cebu, just found out why.
