Litratong Pinoy #19: Eksayted (Excited)

May langka, balimbing, abokado, mangga, star apple, kamyas, papaya, sargwelas, lansones at iba pa.

Litratong Pinoy #011 and 012: Kompyuter Ko, Luma Na

Litratong Pinoy #009 : Mithi (Wish)

Litratong Pinoy #5 - Hangin (Wind)
Translation:These are wind chimes from Japan. I took this photo two years ago when I was in the Asakusa area of Tokyo. Everywhe...

Litratong Pinoy #4: Tubig (Water)
*Map from Wikipedia.

The Second Pinoy Pro Blogger [Digg]
2008-05-13 16:25:00 Ha! Found out I'm second Pinoy Pro Blogger a few minutes ago. As I was searching for the keywords "Pinoy Pro Blogger" today, I found there's already an existing Pinoy Problogger! Hmm... No worries. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a trademark on the moniker. It does feel kinda unsettling a little bit. I'm not too familiar with the Pinoy blogosphere.
No More Excuses Pinoy, Take Part in the Boom of Internet Business
2008-05-12 11:26:00 According to Russ Alfonso in his interview with Entrepreneur.com.ph, “Internet usage is expected to grow 23 percent annually to reach 21.5 million by [the end] of 2008. Filipino Internet users on average spend 2.3 hours per day checking e-mail, 1.6 hours on online community activities, 2.7 hours on instant messaging, and 3 hours on other Internet activities. Forty-eight percent of Internet users are within 20 to 28 years old and 44 percent are 30-40 years old.” So, what does this figures tells us? It tells us that with the continuous increasing number of internet users, internet business will also continue to rise. And if you noticed, it’s pretty obvious with the constant growth of establishments offering free WiFi access, the ever growing lists of online social networking sites anfd the growing number of Pinoy bloggers jumping in the field of making money online. read the rest of the article here.
Pinoy Idol
2008-05-08 05:00:00 I finally got to see Pinoy Idol yesterday on my home from the 4th Philippine Blog Summit. After GMA 7 acquired the rights of Idol from ABC 5, Pinoy Idol has started airing auditions this month. Just yesterday, they showed the audition from Manila at the SMX Exchange at the SM Mall of Asia. Compared to ABC 5’s Philippine Idol, I can say Pinoy Idol is much better. There’s something with GMA that made this competition more appealing. I guess it has something to do with more exposure and advertising. ABC made a gamble before when they acquired the franchise to Philippine Idol. They should have started building up their channel before acquiring foreign talent shows. Philippine Idol is too big for their channel. I just pity the Philippine Idol winner Mao Marcelo for being treated this way by GMA 7. Pinoy Bloggers And Their Stupid Crab Mentality
2008-05-07 07:13:00 For Filipinos, crab mentality describes a way of thinking best described by the phrase….“if i can’t have it, neither can you”. It’s a metaphor referring to crabs in a bucket in which, one of them struggles to get to the top but instead is being pulled down by other crabs that are also trying to get to the top. Now, some may think crab mentality is normal as it implies healthy competition between people. Which is in fact, completely normal. But in more ways than one, it is more destructive than normal, especially if you unintentionally outdo another at the other’s expense. A sad reality it is, as it shows lack of unity among us Pinoys. I, myself have experienced being ignored and denied by a fellow Pinoy blogger. You know, starting out as a newbie in the blogosphere is a struggle and one of the first few things you wanted to accomplish is gain new friends. One day I was dropping Entrecard and I discovered this Pinoy blogger who is also in the fie... |
