John Deere Plug Aerator Update
2008-05-28 03:02:00 Several weeks ago I wrote about the new John Deere plug aerator that I ordered. It seems as though there has been a glitch in the order. I must confess it seems as though the error was on my side and not the supplier although I can't see anyway I could have made this error...but I'm a big boy and I can admit when I'm wrong. Apparently I ordered the spike aerator and not the plug aerator. NOT GOOD! The spike aerator really doesn't do what I want.Anyway, the supplier has graciously agreed to track down a plug aerator and only charge me the difference in the correct price. They are certainly going above and beyond on this matter and I truly appreciate it. I'll be sure to share with you this great site for ordering genuine John Deere products once I get all this straightened out.Tags: home improvement, home improvement blog

Literally 4 days before the scheduled opening of Sunrise Ski Park in Show Low Arizona, the local Tribe who controls the land has decided to not open for the summer. This decision is a huge blow to the gravity scene here in AZ and the parks re-opening to bikes in the future is in doubt. The White Mountain Cup Race which is scheduled for June 13-15 is tenatively still on for now, but with this decision, I don't really see how the trails will be in race ready condition, or who will actually support the race or the resort. Enova recently had an independent CARB-certified lab conduct dynamometer tests on a pair of PHEV school buses to compare the fuel consumption and emissions against conventional models. Enova's system is designed to be installed downstream of the transmission so that it can be easily adapted to buses and drivetrains from different manufacturers. One 2007 and one 2008 IC Bus Series CE bus with different engines and transmissions were tested on a West Virginia University Suburban Test Cycle designed to emulate a typical school bus duty cycle. In the tests, the PHEV buses saw a 70 percent reduction in diesel fuel consumption. Carbon dioxide emissions were cut by 40 percent while soot and NOx were reduced by 30 and 20 percent, respectively.
