The French duo's fourth album, Pocket Symphony, is another creative masterpiece of unconventional style and sound. I think the album is best described from their myspace page. 2007-01-16 00:20:00 As the first post of 2007, I decided to bring to musicómetro one of the most expected albums of the first trimester of this new year. The new album of Air arrives in stores March 5th, by the the hands of Astralwerks.The successor of Moon Safari, 10,000 Hz Legend e Talkie Walkie is not convincing. The band decided to work on something diferente, something more mellow. The outcome was not very satisfactory. This work sounds more calm and slow, almost like we're hearing a soundtrack. The keyboards lose some of their meaning, giving some room to some other instruments, such as the guitar and some oriental samples. The most important thing is that none of this songs enjoys the overwhelming protagonism of others sucha as Sexy Boy or Cherry Blossom Girl.Still, this work is essencial for the fans of this band and a really good company for a sour afternoon, in the intimacy of a matinée à deux.Leave a comment with your e-mail for the password! ;)Como primeiro post de 2007 decidi trazer ao...

2007-01-07 01:38:00 Feliz año nuevo para todos (un poco atrasado pero vale igual...ja.)Estuve buscando un buen disco para comenzar el año y finalmente me decidí por el nuevo trabajo de Jean-Benoît Dunckel y Nicolas Godin, los chicos del dúo francés Air. En octubre pasado ya les había comentado la colaboración que habían realizado, junto a Jarvis Cocker (Pulp) y Neil Hannon (The Divine Comedy), para el disco "5:55" de Charlotte Gainsbourg. Pues bien, al parecer las grabaciones estuvieron muy entretenidas, porque Cocker y Hannon se juntaron nuevamente con el par de franchutes para poner las voces en un par de temas de su nuevo disco titulado Pocket Symphony. La producción está nuevamente a cargo de Nigel Godrich, quien estuvo tras las perillas de "Talkie Walkie", el disco anterior de Air, un productor que es real garantía de calidad y minuciosidad en cada detalle.El resultado final es genial.
