Hay por el medio, una diminuta vidente que estudia la situación, y también un oscuro pasado con olor a cementerio indio. Por donde se la vea, la película es absolutamente entretenida y recomendable. Y como no podía ser de otra manera, tuvo dos inevitables secuelas: una interesante ?Poltergeist II? (1986, Brian Gibson), y una mas aburrida: ?Poltergeist III? (1988, Gary Sherman), más una serie de TV en los 90. Resumiendo las historias se puede decir: En la primera: los fenómenos acosan a la niña. En la segunda: los fenómenos acosan y atrapan a toda la familia.
