Today (Sunday, 8. June 2008) finally one of my secrets is shown at the PostSecret blog. I´ve been dropping postcards (with my secrets) weekly into the mailbox. In the whole about 6 so far. So there are a few more to come.Can you guess which one it is? I checked all of the secrets shown today and about 10 of the 20 postcards could be mine. So I am on the safe side. ;) I adjusted my secret slightly so that it wouldn´t be apparent which one is mine. After all it is a secret, isn´t it? Happy guessing!PS. You may comment which secret you think belongs to me, but I won´t reveal whether you are right.I´ll be posting the pics here soon, as the PostSecret blog will be posting new secrets next week.

Several years ago, my best friend told me about the website, PostSecret, created by Frank Warren. Frank Warren had originally passed out blank postcards to strangers, as an experiment, asking them to anonymously write down their deepest secrets and send them to him. The experiment exploded, as people everywhere caught onto the idea and started sending in their secrets. It seemed like everyone had a secret, and everyone was relieved to be able to tell their secret to the world, without having to reveal their identity and face the consequences. Frank Warren started posting the artistic postcards on the PostSecret website, and now each week viewers can log on and view the latest secrets. It is quite easy to get addicted to this site!It is also quite easy to get addicted to Frank Warren's books, in which he publishes even more secret postcards, ones that have never made it to the site. I´ve told you more than often that PostSecret is one of my favorite sites on the net and I have to have each of the books published by Frank Warren.Now a German PostSecret site has been launched. You can check out the secrets here and they even have an English translation."If my dad knew what I did with his brush ... PostSecret is on of those sites that I've been reading and watching for while now. If you haven't seen it. It's a blog made up of post cards sent in by people who have secrets (some interesting some just weird) but all the same it's a way for people to release how they feel about things that they are often in the closet about.When I've read through the post cards, I've related to the authors or I've felt a lot of sadness for people - who for some must go through life with a lot of pain. You should check out the site, also the site has become so popular that they have come out with a book so that you can see a hard copy of what was on the site.Check out PostSecret and check out the vid for the new book here.

I've blogged before about one of my favourite websites, PostSecret. I've looked at this website every week for years, it feels like. The premise: those willing and brave enough submit their secrets, confessions, declarations or all else personal to this blog site written on different mediums. Postcards, photographs, dollar bills—you'll find mini-graffiti of all sorts. The effect: sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes infuriating admittals that reveal intriguing and often times unsettling connections. I was working on my blog and simultaneously watching CurrentTV when there was a pod (short movie) about some guys blog. I decided to let my fingers take a break and see what the deal was. Turns out, people send this dude postcards with their secrets written on it. Every week the blog is updated with about twenty new postcards. They can be, "a regret, hope, funny experience, unseen kindness, fantasy, belief, fear, betrayal, erotic desire, feeling, confession, or childhood humiliation.
