A week previously he had notoriously carved 4 Real into his arm while being interviewed by NME journo Steve Lamaq. The signs toward Richey’s eventual fate were always there, thirteen years ago he was declared missing (in action?) Suicide or Disappearance, who knows?, but what I do know is that the Manics were never as 4 real again, as this recoding will testify. I wonder what the odds are on Richey turning up along with Nicky, James and Sean to collect their NME Godlike Geniuses award on Feb 28th? It’s a funny old fucked up world so who knows. If he did decide to reappear perhaps he’ll turn up looking like Osama Bin Laden. Anyway enough nonsense, this recording was ripped from a TDK C60 Bootleg Tape I bought in Norwich Market fuck knows when ago. Enjoy it here!

I forgot to think about RHCP lyrics as the lowest point in their long career, and lyrics being an undeniable element of good music. RHCP lyrics were simply nonsense (with all due respect) but the rest is utterly perfect and that’s why they are standing where they stand today. Those with "high-profile" jobs can always expect double the criticism. Just like the football coach who if he runs the ball, everyone thinks he should have passed. If he passed everyone says, "The dummy should have ran the ball."Criticism is not just reserved for the world. The church is full of criticism too. It's dished out in large quantities to the elder, the preacher, the bible class teacher, the song leader, the parent whose kids are too loud, the boy who doesn't dress nice enough on Sunday morning, etc. So how do we handle criticism? CAREER DAY - What do Preachers Do?
2007-05-24 15:38:00 I spent yesterday morning taking part in Childress Elementary's Career Day. Wow, it was too much fun. I worried about how I could make my "career" as a minister sound interesting and keep the large group of 10 and 11 year-olds entertained. When the day ended I thought that each group that came through listened well, and I think my talk went well too. The amazing thing was that I was the one that wound up being entertained. Here's why...I asked them, "What are some things you think preachers (that was their choice of words) do?" Here were some of their responses and my thoughts in parentheses:Preachers understand the Bible. (Sometimes we do and other times we just pretend to.) Preachers have fun. (I like that kid.)Preachers pray a whole lot. (This one was mentioned about 10 times. I think need to pray more.)Preachers get to see and bless lots of dead bodies. (This kid was kind of scaring me.)
